Lois: MARK? MARK JACOBS ? What the fuck are you doing here?
All heads turn to look at her. Jared and Jessie look at her in amazement, while Mark looks at her kind of startled with eyes full of guilt. Anger boils up inside her.
Jared: What's going on here, doll? Do you know each other from somewhere?
Lois: You could say that.
Jessie: What's that supposed to mean?
Mark: We used to know each other, but we haven't seen each other in four years since that damn party.
When Mark mentions that party, it's like someone flipped a switch in Lois' head. Her anger evaporates and her eyes fill with terror. Cold sweat trickles down her forehead and her hands shake uncontrollably. Her mind is full of memories - horrible memories - and she presses her temples together to stop them. But it's too late for that. All hell has broken loose, the demons of the past are loose again, and what Lois has spent years trying to forget is back. Alive and hurting. Ready to kill her again.
She's about to collapse, but Jared runs and grabs her at the last moment.
