"Where's he?" I growl from the back of my throat

"Where's he?" I growl from the back of my throat.

"He who?" Robin asked. I heard some shuffling and murmurs behind him.

"Where are you?" I changed the question, my feet tapping on the lift floor in annoyance.

"Getting coffee for the boss and clan. You want some?" He replied from the other side before I could reply he put me on hold. I groaned irritated.

"Yeah. I am here. You want something?" He asked again. I desperately needed some caffeine in my system after the 4 fluffed up hours I've had with Joey. I told him my order and hung up.

Without knowing the answer to my first question.

Dumb me!

The elevator pinged open, and I walk out of it and look around. The meeting room was empty. Advik's office door was open too. I headed to the last door and pushed it open without knocking. Five heads turned to me. I stopped myself from moving forward. My eyes searched for my people first. He sat at his chair behind the desk. Suhana and Advik on either sides of the desk and two other people in front of him.

As soon as I saw the faces of the other two people, the color drained from my face. The girl. The girl from that night. My eyes connected to his. He had his face twisted in worry or anger at being disturbed...? I don't know. I pulled my feet back. Taking a step back. He shot out of his chair and reached me in long strides. I was out of the door and almost closing it behind me when he pulled me in the room with my wrist.

I looked at his fingers on my wrist and then at his face. He gulped, his face still in that worried frown, his breath ragged. As if he was scared. Scared of something. Scared of me...? For me...?

"Zahra, this is Ahaana. A-Advik's sister. Ahaana, she's Zahra and he's Darsh, her fiancé." He introduced us in one breath. I let out a smile. As much as I could muster with my insides twisting.

"Hey!" I waved my fingers and the girl smiled. I haven't yet looked at the man once. Sahil removed himself from my side and took a step away. I looked at him to see him already looking at my face like he was trying to read something.

"God. She's so fucking beautiful. I think I just had an orgasm!" I snapped my gaze from him to the girl. Suhana shook her head chuckling. I feel heat rising to my cheeks.

"Advik, where were you hiding this beauty? God, I wish I was into girls." She stood up and walked to me.

"Hands away!" Sahil snapped at her as soon as she tried to touch my hairs. I looked at him. He looked shocked at himself or at what he has just said. I bit down on my lower lip to stop myself from grinning.

"Oh. Oh. Ohhhh! So, Advik wasn't hiding her. You were hiding her. She's the same one from your pho—"

"Shut up! No one was hiding her. She was in London completing her Masters." He cut her off, but I couldn't control my smile anymore. She knows about me. She knows about me through him. I turned my head to look at him, when he saw the huge smile on my face, he made a face that said, 'don't let stupid thoughts wonder your head' and walked back to his chair.
