"You're so in love with yourself

"You're so in love with yourself." He said from behind me, our eyes met in the mirror.

"Someone's got to be." He rolled eyes, my lips pulled up in a smirk. I love it when I shut him up. It feels sooo gooood!

He reached out to take his wallet and sunglasses from the vanity table. I focused back on tying my hairs up--after-- I was done appreciating myself.

"Narcissism-- is a personality disorder. You should get it checked." He said setting up his hairs standing behind me. I shrugged, ignoring his comment. I'll let him have some fun. I know his brain needs that to calm down after yesterday's conversation.

After our conversation, we went to ski. Together—let me internally blush real quick. We then came back to our hotel, had our dinner and I crashed on the bed while he discussed some work-related thing with Bhai on the couch. The next time I woke up, it was 6:30AM, to the delightful smell of coffee.

"Hurry up, will you?" He glanced at me, zipping up his trolley bag on the floor. I mhmed continuing fiddling with my hairs.

"Oh God!" I threw my hands up in frustration. My arms were aching as if I have been bench pressing. He stood up looked around the messy room and pinned me with a look. My lips thinned in agitation. If he says one more time to hurry it up, I'll plan his murder step by step in my planner.

"Ahaana." He put his hands on his waist, his facial expression telling me how irritated he is to be dealing with me.

"I can't travel with my hairs open. Okay? They'll fly around and damage, I'll have to get a trim to handle the splits ends. I don't want that." I turned around to face him. I don't know how to braid, alright? My mother and Avni Maa did it for me when I was little. Sometimes my brother and him. When I was in UK, Ellie helped me.

"And you don't know how to braid them...right?" A little smile creeped up on his face, I bobbed my head. "Just give me 10 minutes, I'll go to Falak or Suh, one of them will help me. I'll come back and finish packing then." I turned around to pick my hairbrush, hair oil, scrunchie and claw clip.

His hand came to my wrist halting my hurried movements, I looked up at him. "Sit down." He nodded at the chair. I looked at his face to see if he was pulling my leg. He didn't wait for me to comprehend; he pushed me down on the chair, all my stuff in my lap. Our eyes met in the mirror.

"Brush." I handed him the hairbrush. He used the hair oil where I wanted--without me telling him--only on the ends. He then brushed them, braided them neatly and tied the scrunchie on the end. All the while, I kept looking at him in utter shock--because I couldn't believe he was helping me, and love--because he always helped me when no one else was around and he was helping me today, after five and a bit more years.

"Stop looking at me like that." He whispered; our eyes met again in the mirror. He was done with my hairs.

"Like what?"
