"Hey, Sonic!", a yellow, two-tailed fox greets. "Hey, Tails! What's up?", he replies. "I was wondering the same thing.", Tails answers, "You we were away for a while. What happened?"
"I told that Faker I didn't want you worried.", he angrily mutters.
"What was that?"
"Don't worry about it. So anyway, something crazy happened today!"
"Like what?"
"I don't remember it all too well, but I think Shadow saved me from drowning?"
"Woah! Are you okay?", Tails inquires, hugging him out of relief.
"Yeah, I'm more than fine now! Thanks!"
"—so, what happened next?"
Sonic details his afternoon of enjoying sights at Station Square.
"Did you eat anything since you've been awake again?"
"Now that I think of it, not really."
"Okay. Let me make you some chili dogs."
"Cool—!"
"Now, tell me more!"
Sonic continues, sharing about his day, soon noticing a clock showing it now is 5:00 PM. "I took longer to get home than I thought.", he thinks. He soon goes outside with Tails and enjoys the evening before it nears sunset. Soon, Tails yawns as the stars now speckle the sky. Sonic goes inside and tucks him in bed, "Goodnight, little bro.", before going to his own room and looking out the window. "I wonder what Shadow's up to?", he thinks, chuckling softly to himself. He opens the window, singing a gentle tune, carried by the night breeze, loud enough for his own enjoyment, but quiet enough to not disturb his friend who is sleeping in a room close by. Sonic slips his shoes off and crawls into bed, falling asleep.
