"...so, we have to keep apart from each other for a bit?", Sonic understands after Amy finishes explaining. "That shouldn't prove too difficult.", Shadow scoffs. Tails hands Sonic and Shadow special devices to communicate with. Sonic replies, "Thanks, but I'm busy anyway. I've got places to go, I gotta follow my rainbow!" He turns off the communication device, seemingly freeing himself from interruptions, and runs off. Shadow reluctantly thanks Tails, "You also have my gratitude.". "Chaos Control!"— with this, Shadow glowed red and vanished.
While Sonic is on his run, Shadow arrives somewhere after completing his teleportation. Shadow steps forward and gazes around, seeing the sea sparkle below him and clouds around him as he reaches the edge of a floating landmass of sorts. He is on Angel Island. Meanwhile, Sonic decides to pay Knuckles the Echidna a visit— of course, on Angel Island! Sonic soon arrives.
