It is another ordinary day on the planet Mobius. Sonic is speeding across Green Hills, with the grass illuminating by the sunset's rays. With the wind enveloping him, he has a big grin on his face. Tails quickly flies behind him with his twin tails spinning like a helicopter to keep himself airborne. Amy, with a hammer at-hand, is running as fast as she can after Sonic and Tails. Panting, "Wait for me, Sonic!", she shouts, "Oh! You always run away!" Sonic teases back, "You're too slow!" She increases speed, laughing.
He spin-dashes up and down hills and slopes before coming to a halt; as he is adjusting his speed, he loses balance and finds himself having to skid a bit before coming to a complete stop, due to how inertia otherwise would have likely comically propelled forward onto his face, or caused worse. Tails gently lands on the ground, next to Sonic, and Amy catches up. All of them are now face-to-face with Shadow the Hedgehog. His hand is holding something. He then tells Sonic, without greeting, "There's something I'd like to show you."
