Shadow & Sonic (Full)

Penelope leads Sonic through a village of homes made from candy cane trees. There is a small pond with chocolate for water and marshmallow lily pads. "This is amazing.", he thinks, also wondering if this is real.

He walks up to a train station, where Penelope buys tickets, for both him and herself. A train made of ice screeches into the station, causing sparks. After it slowly chugs to rest, a small crowd unboards the train, leaving the vessel for display, shining a crystal blue. As Sonic rides, he notices cities with tall skyscrapers, and pixies speckling the sky with their glows.

As the train gains speed, it soon reaches the next station. While it stops, Sonic is welcomed by trumpets. "Woah.", he gasps, astonished by the fanfare and the crowd gathering around him. "Word travels fast, huh?", he jokes, remembering he is their fabled hero.

He is led to a tall palace in the center of the capital city, where he is greeted by the princess. "Welcome, to the Kingdom of Noelle!", the persimmon-colored rabbit greets, curtsying. "Hey, Your Majesty. It's nice to meet you!", he says back. Penelope creates her full form, revealing a lavender fox with blue eyes and lime green transparent wings, who wears a purple dress and flows to her knees and a pair of pastel blue pumps. "Thank you for escorting him, Penelope. You're dismissed.", she bids farewell to her. She curtsies to the princess, taking her leave. "My mother, the queen, was told you'd arrive today! She'd like to talk with you." "Okay.", Sonic replies.

Soon, he heads to the throne room, where he is met by the queen. She explains to him an enemy has been threatening her land, a robotic army commander that has been terrorizing neighboring kingdoms and that she knows that Sonic is the one able to free them and protect her kingdom from the same fate. "You have my word, Your Highness, that I'll make sure it's turned to scrap metal!", he promises, with a confident grin. "Good, you have my gratitude.", she thanks him. Done with the conversation, Sonic looks around, observing beautiful stained glass artwork coloring the ceiling as the sunlight shines through. This is suddenly interrupted as a giant mechanical drill shatters one of them and drops in. He steps back, bracing himself. It lands, staring its piercing eyes at him. Sonic notices an emblem of Dr. Eggman's face on the side of the robot. "I should've known he was the one behind this.", he thinks. "So, you're the 'hero' they talk about?", he taunts Sonic. "I may surprise you.", he confirms.

"I see. I cannot allow you to thwart my plans, as I plan to conquer all of the realm."

"What're you going to do with it anyway?"

"That is not for you to know."

Sonic smirks, charging a spin-dash. As his quills blade through its metal plates. The robot reforms its drills into sharp claws and scratches at Sonic. He dodges, sliding on his feet. "Is that all you can do?", Sonic teases. "No, but thank you for asking.", the robot plays. It suddenly grabs him, tossing him through one of the glass windows, causing him to land in a tower. "Oof!", Sonic yells, landing with a thud. He stands up. It swings across to him, sawing off the roof of the tower. He dodges an incoming missile, which explodes the remaining part of the collapsing wall.

The queen, who escaped during the battle, returns with the sword. She quickly tosses it to the tower for Sonic, "Take this!" Sonic nods, gripping it and aiming it towards the mechanical heart. He shatters through it with the blade and sparks fly.

"Oh, you did it! You liberated the realm!", the queen cheers.

Suddenly,

"...wake up!"

"Sonic?"

"Sonic, wake up."

With flashes of colors, Sonic's dream keeps changing, seeing a few memories, until he is awake.
