Sonic opens his eyes, but is still coughing. "Breathe.", Shadow kindly instructs. Sonic slowly starts to breathe normally again. "Hey,", the blue hedgehog says, "you saved my life.", he acknowledges. "Thanks, Shadow!"
"Don't mention it."
"No, you saved my life. That's a big deal, y'know. —so, seriously, dude. Thank you."
Shadow smiles, "You're welcome. Okay, now calm down."
"Heh.", Sonic chuckles, but soon sputters.
"Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah."
Shadow places Sonic back on his feet. "Are you sure?", he asks, as Sonic trips a little.
"I'll be fine, really."
"I'm not taking chances.", Shadow thinks.
Sonic fully stands up, Shadow supporting him.
"Let's go."
"Where're we going?"
"You'll see."
"Okay."
