A breeze blows through, creating rustling sounds and a colorful display of yellow and orange. They follow the blue blur as he runs past a city park, who soon knocks on Shadow's apartment door in the blink of an eye. "Hey, Faker! Let me in, will ya?", Sonic playfully demands entry. "I'm coming.", Shadow says, nearly moaning at the unexpected visitor. Why is he still surprised at this point, Shadow now wonders to himself, shaking his head and chuckling. "Hello, Sonic.", he welcomes him.
Sonic politely leaves his shoes at the door, to Shadow's pleasant surprise. "Oh, so you've learned some manners, it seems.", Shadow teases, "Well, you didn't have to do that." "I wanted to, though. I'm staying for a while!", Sonic responds. "Oh, I see.", Shadow accepts the prolonged company.
"Why did you come here?", Shadow cuts to the chase. "I want to hang out!", Sonic cheerfully answers.
"You didn't bother calling me first?"
"Oh, you're right. I should've thought of that. Sorry!"
"Heh. It's fine."
"Since you're staying for a while, would you like something to drink? I could make you a snack, also, if you want."
"I guess I can go for a little something-- eh, just water, please."
"I see."
Soon, with a glass in his hand, Sonic plays with his reflection, making silly faces and experimenting with the stretch of the illusions. Shadow shakes his head, softly chuckling, and decides to pour a glass for himself also. "Hey, can I turn on the TV?", Sonic requests. "Sure, the remote is on the table.", Shadow tells him, while enjoying the cool sensation of ice in his hands as it clinks in the glass.
Eventually, after the hedgehogs spent a couple hours watching the television, Sonic groans in boredom. He suddenly presses through the channels, flipping through them at light speed. "Sonic, please stop before you break it.", Shadow pleads. "You're right. How about we find something else to do?", Sonic suggests. "Like what?", Shadow wonders out loud.
"Wait here."
Sonic returns with his guitar, an awesome display of his personality, painted in a beautiful shade of electric blue.
