Sonic feels the crunch of leaves under his shoes as he calmly steps forward, soon bringing himself to a stop, inhaling the autumn air. He looks up at the trees that are shading him. Knowing the leaves will soon change color and begin to fall, he enjoys the remaining green of the trees. He smiles up at a tree that he spots is giving off its first hint of gold and soon gazes upon a tree that is already blanketed in orange.
Soon, the sounds of more leaves crunching is heard from close by, but Sonic had not yet moved since watching the forest. He looks behind, curious to see who or what has followed him. "Greetings.", a cool, but warmingly welcoming, figure says, his shadow hidden by the ones cast by the trees. "Hey, Shadow!", Sonic chirps. Shadow smiles, beginning to also look up at the trees, noticing Sonic's gaze.
"You couldn't get enough of me, huh?", Sonic jokes.
"I just happened to find you here."
"It seems you like nature too!"
"Yes, it appears we have more in common than we thought."
Sonic nods in agreement, before slightly shivering.
"Are you cold?"
"Nah, just a little chilly.", Sonic answers, folding his arms behind his head, relaxed.
"Okay."
Shadow goes close to Sonic, letting heat from his arm warm Sonic. Sonic widens his smile.
"Hey, can I join you?", Silver enters. "Sure!", Sonic welcomes him.
"So, um--"
"Yeah?"
"I heard the song you and Shadow were playing yesterday, so I wanted to know..."
"Oh?"
"What does it mean to you?"
