Aurora was sitting in her carriage along Lady Danbury and her mother, while bouncing her leg up and down. She was now dressed in her debutante white dress with gold details as her aunt sent her a sharp glare.
D- will you now stop bouncing up and down, there is nothing to worry about dear you'll be just fine- lady Danbury calmly told her as they arrived
A- I'm sorry its just that I am so nervous
L- don't be you will be perfect Rory
As the carriage stopped Aurora could feel her nerves building up, and she was certain she was a nervous reck.
They arrived and she came out the carriage with help of one of her guards. S he couldn't find Daphne and supposed she had arrived before her. Accompanied by her mother she entered the debutantes room. She could sense the nerves of all the debutants, as she seemed for her best friend she found Penelope feathering ton.
A- hey pen, how are you?
P- oh hey Aurora, quite nervous actually- pen nervously replied
A- me aswell, have you seen Daphne? I've been searching for her for ages.
P- I actually have, there she is- pen pointed
Rory rushed to her best friends side along her mother.
A- Daphne I was starting to worry that you wouldn't appear- Aurora gratefully exclaimed
D- Rory i was starting to concern myself aswell, I'm so happy you are here- Daphne said while embracing her
A- you certainly look stunning
V- that she does- Lady bridgerton said- Aswell as you Rory, you look magnificent
A- thank you lady bridgerton, I must go back to my mother as she must not start worrying herself. Best of luck.
Aurora joined her mother
L- where on earth where you! the ceremony is about to start and you are third to be presented
A- sorry mama I had to find Daphne before the ceremony started
After the two first young ladies where presented, it was Aurora's turn
Aurora nervously held a tight grip on her mother arm till the doors opened and she found herself smiling calmly.
X- Miss Wintershire, Future Duchess of Wellington presented by her right honorable mother Lady Wintershire, Duchess of Wellington
Aurora gracefully started walking towards the queen, light smile on her face as she concentrated in the queen although she felt many eyes on her. She then arrived infront of the queen's throne as she most elegantly bowed infront of her. She felt she had been bowing for an enternity until she her a shuffling from the throne and felt gloved hand raising her chin up. Then the queen proceeded to lightly kiss her front
Q- Perfection my dear
Aurora never felt so happy in her life as she sweetly smiled and bowed again. She then turned around and looked at the crowd. She caught her auntie's eyes as she smiled. and then she looked to the other side to where she saw Daphne's family, and caught her eldest brother looking at her as she sent him a small smile and he returned it. Rory was too caught up in the moment to see that he continued gazing at her as she left, completely astonished.
As she entered the debutants room, she rushed to Daphne's side who still had some girls ahead of her.
D- Rory, how did it go?- Daphne excitedly asked
A- it went more than well, the Queen singled me out!
V- that's so good to hear dear, we are so happy for you
D- I can't believe it! I told you you'd be this season's diamond!- Daphne happily said
L- oh I'm sure the queen will single you out to Daphne, you look splendid- Aurora's mother said
A- yes, most definitely. My aunt told me that in past season's there is been more than one diamond
D- I only would hope so
