Dear Diary,

Summer is going by too fast and it needs to slow down. In less than a month I start grade 12. I'm excited for dance to start because I miss it like crazy but school doesn't need to come.

If I didn't discuss my grade 12 schedule, I will have two classes in semester one (English and social) and in semester two I will have three classes (Art, science and math). I'm not concerned about my classes because in my mind, English and social should be pretty easy. Art will be a breeze, science will be fine and math is basically my own concern because math is not my strong suit.
Then for dance we already have an idea for this years next recital theme. The theme might be Icons. So like iconic actors, musicians, movies, events, etc. As usual, I have found some solo ideas for if we go through with that theme. Oh! My dance teacher is also introducing modern back to the dance society. I told mom that I will be joining that class. I want to join so bad! Also, I will be helping my teacher with the adult classes; adult jazz and possibly adult tap.

On a whole new note, I am currently out to Jasper with Raya and her family. We left July 31st and we are leaving to go home in two days. We've done so much in the matter of 5 days so far. On the 31st, we left home, drove five hours to get here. August 1st, we started our early morning b going to the local hot springs. It was really nice and I took my polaroid to take pictures. After, we just walked around the town and did a bit of shopping. The next day, we went back into Jasper and did some more touring and shopping. That day I bought three necklaces.

I also need to add in a story that happened during this trip! So Raya and I went bike riding numerous times while we have been here. Then, one day, Raya's parents said that we are all going to go riding together. Raya and her dad were staying ahead of me, I was third and her mom was behind me. We were biking down a dirt trail and there was a small bridge that covers a small creek. Usually, I would get off my bike and walk it across. But I saw Raya and her dad bike over the two inch ledge on the bridge with no issue. Knowing me, I was thinking "oh, if they can do it, so can I". So I started riding to the ledge. My mistake I made was that I slowed down at the very last second. So I got up the small bridge . . . But I lost control and fell off the bridge. It was only a foot or two of a drop but still. I fell off the bike (my bike came in for a swim too) and I landed on my hands and knees in the water. So of course the ONLY time I fell off a bike in my teens was into a creek and my best friend AND her parents just had to witness it. Oh well, that is what I get for being born clumsy.

The next day we went to a knee high lake and a waterfall trail. The knee high lake was so gorgeous! When I say its knee high, that is exactly what I mean. All the way across the lake was knee high water level. So you can go in the very center of the lake and it'll only be up to your knees.

For the last two days, we have been doing lots of hikes. The hike we did today has my legs hurting since we got back. Its shitty because as soon as I get back (Monday) I work on the Tuesday. But oh well, I'm getting paid to work.

I think that is all that is new.

Sarah
