Dear Diary,
Well, its official. I'm broke and it is our second last day here. If I remember correctly, I believe I have approximately 15 euros left and some small change. So I accidentally bought too much, long story short. Oh well, its not like I'm going to be coming back here anytime soon. So let me tell you about my day!
Our day primarily consisted of walking in Rome and looking at buildings. Once we arrived in Rome, we walked around then Lucia gave us some free time so we can grab lunch. Lunch for me was good. I ended up going with pizza (that had onion, cheese, and eggs on it). It was filling but good. Once we finished lunch, we all walked to the Pantheon. Samantha and I did our project on this so seeing it in person was amazing. I took videos and pictures but nothing compares to seeing it in person. The dome is so high up! Then we went to quite a bunch of churches. Its cool to see all the churches because they're all so similar yet so different. It's hard to explain what makes all the churches. They're all covered in paintings and incredible statues. After looking at a few churches, we went to the Trevi Foundation. Near the fountain was a gelato place and the teachers all bought us some. For flavors, I ended up with having strawberry, mango, and banana. When it comes to the fountain, you need to throw in a coin into it and make a wish. I used my right hand to throw the coin over my left shoulder with my wish in my mind.
My wish was that I wished to become a famous author, be truly happy and to fall in love. That is my one and only wish I have. There is a video of me throwing the coin in. After that, we saw a street performer then went for dinner. It was really good and I ended up taking a business card. After dinner, we came to our new hotel in Rome (Hotel Vintage), which is a really nice hotel. I'm going to be calling it quits here because we are leaving the hotel at 7:30am in the morning.Goodnight!
Sarah
