32. Ash's Reborn Story

Chapter 9 Obsidia Slums

After getting out of the Day Care, Ash and Pikachu also find the South Obsidia Alley, because of the PokeSnax in his bag, Ash finds a Plusle and a Minun for his team, and he also stops two Mightyena from injuring the Electrike, capturing the Electrike in the end. And then they also chase a Litleo to the Underground Railnet, where they find a giant Klinklang floating from above. To protect the Pokemon, Ash has Charizard knock the Klinklang out. Litleo also joins Ash's team in the end.

Ash: That Klinklang sure is somewhat terrifying if you ask me, I mean...it doesn't seem to look like the Klinklang we knew.

Pikachu nods in agreement with Ash's words.

Ash's New Capture in Underground Railnet: Plusle, Minun, Electrike, Litleo (Event), Koffing (Alley)

After getting back to the main road, Ash has Charizard break the vines to save the others, and they find both Victoria and Florinia at the entrance of the Obsidia Park.

Florinia: As previously stated, it is better seen than told. Obsidia Park is one of the single largest isolated collections of flora within official city limits. However, it is merely that- a park. Under normal circumstances, it is nothing like the malignant tangle here displayed. Similar conditions have already been observed in the Jasper and Beryl Wards as well, hence the current lockdown.

Victoria: How did this happen...?

Florinia: Witnesses reported several suspicious individuals hauling a large machine to the center of the area prior to the incident. Current hypothesis: Aforementioned subjects deliberately perpetrated spontaneous erratic growth of the target area with said device. Specific method of action unknown. Procedure: An exploratory party will traverse the growth and attempt to reach the device at the center. Obstacles: This speaker's primary colleague remains absent. Additionally, mutated flora poses significant difficulty for traversal. This may be remedied through the use of TMX Cut. Said Machine currently resides in the possession of the aforementioned colleague. Directive: Assisting parties should seek the above-mentioned colleague and obtain Cut. (Turns to Ash) This speaker will remain here and monitor the situation in case of any additional sudden changes.

Ash: So we need to look for the person who has Cut? Where are they?

Florinia: Colleague was last known to be investigating rumors of other suspicious individuals in this area. This speaker believes she had most recently been searching the area south of the given premises. Subject name: Amaria.

Victoria: Oh, I've heard of her! She's a Leader too, right? Long bright teal hair?

Florinia: (Nods) Correct.

Victoria: Okay, so we're looking for Amaria in the area south of here. We'll find her quicker if we split up, so I'll go ahead and get started. Good luck. (Leaves)

Ash also heads south to find this Amaria person, and he arrives at an old giant place known as Obsidia Slums. When entering the place, Ash can see a lot of people who are poor and they also wanted Ash to give them some food or money. Ash of course has to escape them and also capture some wild Pokemon in the area.

As he continues further, he sees a yellow glowing thing on the ground. One of the street rats sees his confused face and he decides to help it out.

Street Rat: You ever seen one o' these before? 's called a Light Shard. They appear all 'round Reborn in random places. I'd take it if it were valuable, but unfortunately, it'll disappear the moment anyone touches it. Has the side effect o' being' kinda refreshin'. Restores yer Pokemon 'n all that. But I'm a-okay. You want it?
