32. Ash's Reborn Story

Chapter 35 Azurine Island

When Ash arrives at Azurine Island, he can see a lot of Lilypads and some Foongus roaming around. Ash finds something on the ground and he is surprised.

Ash: This is Cain's Earings...That means Cain must be somewhere on this island.

Ash decides to search for the whole island for Team Meteor and Cain, on the way, he also finds some Pokemon and grabs another Field Note.

Ash's New Capture in Azurine Island: Amoonguss, Golbat, Shellos, Quagsire, Shelmet, Yanma (Grass), Exeggcute (Headbutt)

Field Note 08 Swamp Field:

"The Field is swamped." Pokemon's Speed Lowers each turn. Pokemon is immune to slow when airborne. Created by Water + Grass Pledge. Ingrain damages the user unless the user has Poison or Steel Type. Dry Skin slowly restores HP. Aqua Ring recovers 1/8 HP. Poison Attacks boost x1.5 when the target is grounded. Certain attacks like Brine, Gunk Shot, Hydro Vortex, Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Mud-Slap, Muddy Water, Sludge Wave, Smack Down, Surf, and Thousand Arrows boost x1.5. Certain attacks like Bulldoze, Earthquake, and Magnitude decreased x0.25. Certain attacks like Smack Down and Thousand Arrows gain Water Type. Prevents use of Explosion, Mind Blown, and Self-Destruct. Sleep Powder accuracy:100%. Sleep Pokemon take damage each turn. Gooey effect boosts x2. Activates Water Compaction each turn. Strength Sap recovery boosts 30%. Nature Power becomes Muddy Water. Camouflage becomes Water Type. Secret Power lowers Speed. The Telluric Seed boosts Defense and Special Defense and applies Ingrain to the user.

While Ash notices an old shack, he knows that he has to go there, but he is blocked by no other than Aster.

Aster: Well, well, well, look who it is...

Ash: Aster, that means Eclipse is somewhere nearby, huh?

Eclipse: (Appears behind Ash) Can't say we were expecting you of all people... Now, what would you be doing in a place like this?

Aster: Obviously he came to rescue his friend!

Ash: Only one? Where are the others?

Eclipse: (Ignore Ash) Rhetorical questions, Aster? Maybe you've heard of them?

Aster: No, were they part of the mission?

Eclipse: (Facepalm) Say, I can't help but notice... You've always had a friend with you when you faced us in the past. But now, someone is looking a little bit outnumbered.

Aster: Two heads are harder than one!

Ash then realizes that he battled them both, but the first time is with Fern and the second time is with Victoria. He has never battled both of them alone.

Eclipse: Yours especially. Our orders were clear- no trespassers allowed! Private property and all that, get the picture?

They send out Lunatone and Solrock at the same time, Ash decides to go with Quagsire and Staraptor.

Ash: Since we're in a swampy area...I guess we should use the field to our advantage! Use Muddy Water!

Quagsire goes with the attack, and it damages both Lunatone and Solrock. Both Lunatone and Solrock try to go for Hypnosis for Staraptor, but he dodges both of them, but not from Rock Slide as he takes a lot of damage. Due to the area, Quagsire is the only one that goes slower, but it lands another Muddy Water to knock out both Pokemon.

The next Pokemon are Oranguru and Passimian, Oranguru goes for Instruct, causing Staraptor to accidentally defeat Quagsire with Close Combat, so Ash goes for Honchkrow to battle, and both Pokemon go to Brave Bird, knocking out Passimian after it Bulks Up and lands a Brick Break on Honchkrow. As for Oranguru, it goes for another Instruct, but Honchkrow manages to direct Staraptor's Aerial Ace to Oranguru, knocking it out.
