32. Ash's Reborn Story

Chapter 51 Finally Route 1

Ash walks into Tanzan Mountain after bidding farewell to Delia and the others, and he walks left this time until both he and Pikachu jumps out of the way from the explosion. A cave appears and Saphira just walks out of it.

Ash: Saphira, you're safe.

Saphira: Well met, Ash. I hope you didn't think I would go down without a fight. I'll admit that woman caught me off guard. She seemed to know about my family, but I didn't recognize her. But that doesn't matter anymore. I already snuck back in and terminated their base. And I've got a present for you.

Ash widens his eyes to find the Ruby Ring and the Amethyst Pendant, two of the four keys that are needed to open the gate below Reborn.

Saphira: Team Meteor has been desperate to seize these objects. To give them back to the original owners would do little but paint a target on their backs. Neither can I keep them- They know where I stay. I need you to take these and leave. The rest of us will relocate.

Ash: Where will you be going?

Saphira: Up north, in the Carnelia Region, there are two cities- Labradorra and Calcenon. The Gyms in those cities belong to Charlotte and me. You go your own way, and I'll lead everyone else up there in safety. North and east of the route ahead is your way forward. Should Team Meteor pursue you for the keys, I trust you are capable of defending them. Be careful. We'll meet again.

Ash nods as Saphira rushes back to Tanzan Cove, as for Ash, he just walks out of the cave to find himself in a place known as South Aventurine Woods. And while walking, Ash also captures some Pokemon in the area.

Ash's New Capture in South Aventurine Woods: Komala (Headbutt) Bewear, Passimian (Grass)

After walking for a while, Ash finds that he is now at Route 1.

Ash: Route 1...it was supposed to be the first route of a region...but I guess it takes 7 gyms for me to get here...

But much to Ash's frustration, he finds Fern walking toward him, and he knows it is not going to be good.

Fern: I Thought I heard a bug or something crawling around over here. Guess I was right. Sup. Come up here for the Gym? There's a huge castle to the east, serves as one. I'm up to eight Badges now- easy and peasy.

Ash: 8 badges already? Damn it...I only have seven...

Fern: Falling behind already. And to think you started before me. Think I'm wrong? Just try me!

He asks for another battle, and Ash is going to battle him for the fifth time and he doesn't like it. He goes with Haxorus first, and Ash goes for Wigglytuff, however, Haxorus has Iron Tail, which deals a lot of damage to Wigglytuff, but Ash has Wigglytuff go for Sing, and causing the Pokemon to fall asleep, and then defeating it with Disarming Voice.

The second Pokemon is Roserade, and it also goes for Sleep Powder to make Wigglytuff fall asleep, so Ash switches into Charizard, causing Fern to flinch a little as he knows how strong it is. Charizard is not happy to battle the Pokemon again, so it goes for a Flamethrower, causing the field to change into Burning Field, and knocking the Pokemon out with Air Slash.

Fern: Going as cheap as to change the field, huh?

He goes for Scyther since it won't be landing on the burning ground and taking damage, but Charizard goes for Heat Wave, causing Scyther to take a lot of damage even though it goes for Double Team. In the end, Scyther is also no match because Charizard uses Thunder Punch to knock it out. The fourth one is Rhydon, and it goes for Stone Edge to deal a lot of damage on Charizard, Ash decides to switch into Politoed, using the Rain to destroy the fire and create the Rainbow Field, and then it goes for Hyper Voice, defeating Rhydon. Krookodile is the fifth Pokemon, and it goes for Throat Chop, causing Politoed to be unable to use Hyper Voice, but Ash still has it use Hydro Pump, knocking it out.
