Chapter 171 Mew's Toybox

Ash, Serena, and Lillie are now at the Night Club after some days of rest, and they find Randall there.

Randall: Hang onto your knickers, partner- we've got a big one. Reports are saying that people were seeing one of those Animes up on the Wasteland Wall. You know, the one that divides Chrysolia and Byxbibsixthshypsixsion?

Ash: I know, that's the place I found my Dhelmise...

Randall: But get you this... The 'Mon they said was in the Anime? Mewtwo.

Serena: Mewtwo?

Lillie: Are you serious?

Randall: Yeah- I didn't believe it either. But I think some folks are gonna be wantin' to jump on this Anime right quick.

Ash: Mewtwo is actually Pokemon made by Mew...I guess I should check this one out.

Randall: You got it, partner. Get in there and show that Anime who's what and what's who!

Then they head to Tanzan Mountain so they can head to the Wasteland Wall and get to the place where the New World Portal is located.

Lillie: This place sure is a little confusing.

Ash: I know, but we're here, that's all it matters.

Just as they are about to get into the cave, they are stopped by a person, and much to their annoyance, the person is no other than Fern.

Fern: Hah... You didn't think you'd seen the last of me, did you? Not by a long shot! You might've thrashed me, put my pride in the dirt, and kicked me into a well of shame from which I'm still trying to crawl out ...But I'm still here! If you think all that's gonna keep me down, you've got another thing coming!\

Ash: Are you seriously here trying to start a fight?

Fern: Actually, to be honest... A part of me is glad that you kicked Lin in her stupid face and became the champion. It's a lot less embarrassing to have lost to you if you're on the top. And you put that bitch in her place to boot. So thanks for that. They did everything they could for my face, but this is the best it's gonna get, they said. At first, I was ashamed to even go out in public. But you know what? This is still my face- the only one I got! And if I can't be proud of it, then that's everyone else's problem! I'll wear my mistakes loudly, and keep on smiling anyway!

Lillie: At least you are not trying to kill us with your Decidueye right now.

Fern: So, you heard too, right? About the Mewtwo. I'll have you know I haven't just been sitting on my ass all this time. Just as you've been out there catching Legendaries and putting out fires, so have I! Don't get comfortable- I'm coming for your champion title! And this Mewtwo is a stepping stone on my way to beat you...So, I can't take your title here and now, but what do you say to a casual battle? Winner gets the first shot at Mewtwo. Let's put 'em up!

Ash nods as he decides to battle Fern again. His first Pokemon is Haxorus, and Ash goes for Primarina to battle. Haxorus goes for Dragon Dance and Poison Jab, dealing a lot of damage to Primarina, but Ash has Primarina go for Blizzard, and then finishes it with the Moonblast attack. The second Pokemon is Serperior, it goes for Leaf Storm to knock Primarina out, and the Contrary Ability causes the Special Attack to raise instead. Ash goes for Delphox to battle this one, and Delphox goes for Mystical Fire to knock the Pokemon out.

The third Pokemon is Scizor and Fern Mega Evolve the Pokemon, and it goes for Night Slash to deal a lot of damage to Delphox, but Delphox goes for another Mystical Fire and the Z Move Inferno Overdrive to knock it out. The fourth Pokemon is Krookodile, and it goes for Earthquake and Crunch to defeat Delphox, Ash goes for Keldeo next, and he goes for Hydro Pump and Secret Sword to knock the Krookodile out. The fifth Pokemon is Buzzwole, and Ash is surprised that he has another Ultra Beast, and it goes for Giga Drain to knock out Keldeo, so Ash goes for Pidgeot and Mega Evolve it, using Hurricane to knock out the Pokemon.
