Totoo nga na maselan si Jade. But as the days went by, I'm slowly learning my ways with her. Sobrang hirap nga lang ng cravings n'ya kasi ang sophisticated ng tastebuds n'ya. Gets ko na ang sinasabi ni Charles na richkid s'ya. Hirap din s'yang mag tagalog pero naiintindihan n'ya ako but there's a little accent kapag s'ya na ang nagsasalita.

"Hello" sa kaniya kami dumeretso ni Andrew pagkatapos ng school. We brought Kani Salad and Steak. Tanghali lang ngayon pero pareho kaming half day ni Andrew. Babalik ako mamaya sa school for org duties.

"I'm not hungry" nakatalikod s'ya saamin at nakabalog sa kumot ang buong katawan.

"You need to eat Jade" sabi ko. Lumapit ako sa kanya para i check kung mainit ba s'ya or ano man. Pero baliktad, malamig ang pawis niya. May aircon pa din naman.

"Are you okay?" I asked. Binabaan ko ang temp ng aircon.

"I vomited for 3 times" she said "Fuck morning sickness"

Nag freak out ako sa loob loob. Fuck. How are you supposed to deal with this?

"Do you want me to call Charles?" Tanong ko

"Is he busy?"

"Kind of"

"Don't" she said

Tumango ako but I still secretly texted Charles. I also told him na ayaw ipa-alam ni Jade.. sabi n'ya, once na matapos daw ang class nya ay pupunta s'ya agad dito. Meanwhile, I massaged Jade's head while Andrew cleans the entire apartment.

"Sigurado ka bang ayaw mo kumain?" Tanong ko kay Jade.

"No appetite, Charlotte"

Tumango ako

"How old are you?" I rarely start a small talk but it seems like our lives are now intertwined. I don't know so much about her. I think I need to know what kind of person she is.

Her forehead creased "I'm 1 and a half year older than you"

Interesting. She looks young. Kinabahan pa nga ako dati kala ko minor s'ya.

"You look 16" sabi ko. Tumingin siya sakin at nag smirk. Genuine yun. Muka nga talaga syang 16. Matangkad nga lang. Magkasing tangkad ata kami or mas matangkad ako ng onti?

"Really?" Her eyebrows raised "I really need a new skin care routine tho"

"You're skin is already flawless" sabi ko. Ngumiti siya. Totoo ang sinasabi ko, I never compliment people but I state the facts.Kung nasasayahan man ako sa isang bagay, siguro yung genes na makukuha ng anak ni Charles.

Hindi ko madalas sinasabi 'to sa tao pero sobrang ganda n'ya. Model type of beauty. Ethereal. I don't even know how Charles was able to pull her.

"What's that Tagalog word again?" She bit her lips "Bolera. You're bolera"

Kumunot noo ko "I'm far from bolera. I do not intend to compliment you.. I state the facts" for the first time, ngayon niya lang ako nginingitian ah "You don't know how to speak Tagalog?"

"I know Tagalog. I studied before because of my siblings" she shrugged "Just couldn't pronounce properly. But I understand"

"You have siblings?" I'm starting to be genuinely curious with her

"A lot" she smirked "I have a lot of siblings"

"Hindi ka ba hinahanap?" Tanong ko

"Honestly I think they don't know I ran away" sabi niya "I told my Mom I was at Dubai but I was just really staying here in the Philippines. My brother's in the US right now for a vacation. Mom is too occupied to figure out my escape"
