-Time skip-

It has been a month now since that night. The night where she saw a strange figure standing in the middle of the road.
Who was that or what was that? The question loomed over her mind constantly.

She was at her desk review new evidence on the case, although there was no pictures of possible culprits.
Y/N knew the street cameras had to have captured something but it glitched missing some footage.

Whoever is doing this has a way to tamper with cameras in some way; she thought to herself as she flipped through some pages.
"What do we have here...?" She spoke softly as she stopped seeing a news paper headline.

-Headline:
"Three children missing from a field trip to Feather Park. Their teacher reported that she thought nothing of it when seeing the children wonder into the woods. However she mentions that in about 20 minutes later there were loud screams coming from the forest.
The teacher quickly called 911, but the cops could not locate anyone in the forest, they called the teacher crazy and she was fired instantly."

"Rowan...?" She spoke with a hint of hesitation before the young male looked up at her.

"What's the matter?" He asked while raising his eyebrow.

"Where is Feather Park?" Y/N asks as she tilts her head curiously.

Rowan takes a moment before he spoke yet again. "That is south from here, why?" he asked.

Y/N stood up and she showed the paper to him, upon examining its contents he could tell she had something reckless in mind.
"Don't go around poking on your own. It could be dangerous." He stated firmly.

She shook her head and huffed.
"I did not graduate top of my class for looking pretty. I did training." She stated as she stood her ground.

The young male stared at her in surprise, he wasn't expecting for her to talk like that. But then again that is one of the reasons why he hired her, her determination was unlike any other. "I understand that Y/N, but somethings are best left alone or go with some backup." he stated.

She felt like he was thinking of her as weak, she hated that. She stood up tall and cleared her throat. "Rowan with all do respect I am not afraid of anything. I took down the biggest person in my class easily!" she stated firmly.

Rowan gave out a small chuckle as he raised an eyebrow, she obviously was not going to give up so easily. But deep down that is what he wanted from her, it might have seem that he was trying to keep her from taking a risk...However his plan was to push her to where she wanted to have her way on this case.

"Alright, you convinced me. Just be careful and if you see something that you think you'd need help for, call me." he said as he straightened up in his chair and he smirks.

She nodded and gathered her things, she grabbed the headline and she made her way towards the office door. She stopped briefly and turned around. "Before I go, any word on that figure I told you about?" she asked.

"Nothing yet, they are reviewing footage to see if they can recover anything." he stated as he flipped through some papers. She sighed and left the office while putting the papers in her bag. She walked to the elevator pressing the button and closing the doors.
