????

"I LIKE YOU TOO!"
Those words echoed through out the hallway, which made my job easier. I didn't have to risk approaching closer and possibly getting discovered. Especially since Slendy can't know I am here...Given that he had given strict orders for no one to be within the mansion for the day, because of a supposed important visitor. Now I see what he was scheming along with that disgusting carny.

I sneaked my way back downstairs, annoyingly enough the damn steps creaked beneath my feet. So much for a stealth mission.
Thankfully the boss' office is pretty far away from these steps, therefore if the orders were precise; then not a soul should be here.

Soon enough I made my way to the kitchen and opened a small hatch within the pantry, jumping in and following the tunnel that led to the far side of the mansion. Heading south to an abandoned shack, which is rumored to be the original living quarters of the members of the organization.
Not many know of its existence, only those who started it all; or those foolish enough to venture pass the mansion. I was one of those fools years ago.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't find myself regretting my decision, now being a member of a sort of resistance. If it can be called that at this point. In a way I feel like our recent actions portray us as villainous in ways.
I approached the shed, noticing that the front door was open. I remembered that I had closed it before I had left.

"Is someone there?" I called out while proceeding with caution, I created glowing yellow strings through out my fingers and took a ready stance.
I did not get a response, which I am not surprised. An intruder isn't going to make his or her presence known.

I peered over the opened door and scanned the room, with no sign of movement. But the room was a complete mess, things were scattered and furniture thrown around.
'What were they looking for?' I asked myself as I dissipated the strings and began to pick things up and organizing things.

"What a mess, what made you so mad?" The sound of a voice coming from behind me caused me to jump, I shot some strings out without looking and I knew they had captured something due to the tension I felt afterwards.
When I finally looked, I noticed that my strings were wrapped around a purple and blue mallet.

"If I can sneak up on you so easily, what use are you to me?" He asked as he ripped his mallet away from my strings, causing them to snap.
I growled annoyed before gaining back my composure, I put the last of the papers that were on the floor back onto the desk.

I crossed my arms and looked at this man with annoyance.
"Are you serious, were you the one who left this in this way?" I asked and raised an eyebrow briefly. He seemed annoyed with my question but he didn't deny it, if anything he sat down on a mangled couch and placed his mallet beside him.

"Did you get what I asked you for?" He asked as he crossed his legs and leaned back, getting comfortable.
Even though I did, I sort of didn't want to tell him anything...he annoys the hell out of me.

"I did, but I need to know something before I tell you what I uncovered." I stated very firmly as I walked over to the other chair and sat down.
Intrigued he nodded and gestured for me to speak. This was my chance to find out the full truth, if he'll play ball with me that is.

I have asked my questions before but I have always gotten the same vague responses...The same ring around the rosy skit.
"I want to know the truth...Why do you want that girl for?" I asked bluntly. "It is just a normal mortal girl, to what I can see there is nothing special there."

He tilted his head for a moment before he began to laugh, this guy...laughing? I don't remember making a joke. This man is over here infatuated over some mortal, to the point of putting all of us in danger?!
What is he thinking...?

"You couldn't be more wrong, puppet maker. I want nothing to do with her in a sense."
He spoke with a sense of aloof, like it was nothing. I couldn't understand what he was saying, the letters, wanting to meet her, the stalking of the poor woman...How is that an indicator of no interest? It should be the obvious that he did want her, if we only focus on his actions.
"I want Jack to die, but I want- No I need him to suffer first."

"Why? Why is your vendetta with Jack and you target her?" I asked.
He was psychotic...Although I am not an angel myself, I have my fair share of sins and faults. Nothing I have done compares to how this jester thinks.

"I am only following orders,  just like you are Puppeteer." He stated as he then huffed and stretched for a moment. Seeming bored or uninterested.

"Following orders...? Who's orders are you following Candy Pop?" I asked curiously, there was something that I didn't know. I could have never seen him following anyone's orders, he is his own boss. He didn't even listen to Slenderman himself.

"Oh puppet boy, she is just necessary collateral to our cause. A mere pawn in a game she doesn't know she is in." Candy Pop said as he had a slight smirk.
This guy just evaded my question, did he think I wouldn't notice?

"Answer me...Who are you answering to?" I asked once again. I needed to know why we were wrapped up in this cycle, I am all for a good game; but this is just sick.
He didn't seem to like my insistency, my curiosity and my need to know. He tensed up in anger before he stood up and held his mallet in his right hand.

"Listen buddy...You and I do as we are told and that's it. No more, no less." He stated as he then swung his mallet onto his shoulders and looked at me with an angered expression.
"Stay in your lane, if you know what's good for you. Do as I say and you won't have to meet the big guy himself." He said as he walked towards the door.

I wanted to know who this supposed big guy is? Was it a metaphor, a legend, a mask or a fib? I couldn't help but wonder.
Before he fully left he turned his head to me and he spoke one more time. "Trust me...You don't want to piss him off" he stated firmly.

"Keep tabs on Jack, whatever you do don't let him see you. We need as much information as we can get." And with that he took his leave without allowing for any more conversation.

I ran over to the door hoping to get one last word in but he was gone, as if he was never here. This guy is something else...how does he just do that? I can't understand what he has against Laughing Jack, what did that clown do to the jester?

Thoughts swarmed my mind at that point, why should I continue to work under someone that I haven't met? That sounds completely insane!
Risking my life, my reputation and not to mention the entire organization...I don't think I could do this.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Slenderman...But he gave me my name, my purpose and a reason to live when I felt like giving up. I owe him more than what that damn jester knows or is willing to understand.
I took a deep breath and organized my thoughts, I am too involved in this group now. If I were to tell anyone about this I know I would disappear...There is no way out of this group other than death.

"What have I gotten myself into...?"
