Almost immediately after Slender found out that LJ had confessed his feelings for the mortal, as well as having knowledge that they are a couple. He felt like he didn't have a choice but to take matters into his own hands.
Slender sent a letter to the male requesting for an important and private meeting, being clear that it was urgent as well.
An hour or two after the letter was sent, there was knock at his office door. To which he assumed it was Laughing Jack.
"Please enter." he requested. Immediately after his command the door opens and a confused monochrome clown stood in front of his desk now.
"You wanted to see me, boss?" He asked as he then took a seat in front of the faceless gentleman's desk.
Slendy huffed and placed his hands together and intertwined his fingers together.
"Of course...There is important matters to attend to as you may know." Slender said as he fixed his posture and kept a serious posture.
"As you know well...you have become a couple with that mortal girl, yes?" Slender said as he huffed and tilted his head briefly.
"Of course I know, I said yes." Jack said as he shrugged briefly and appeared to be aloof about the situation. Given that he didn't know what was coming to him.
"Well given your little stunt, you have given me no choice but to protect her and us...Therefore I am sending you on a mission that may take months. But it is all necessary."
Slender said as he huffed yet again feeling annoyed with the whole situation. Jack seemed annoyed as he heard what the male was implying.
"I'm sorry but I can't go-..." He was immediately interrupted by Slender clearing his throat clearly annoyed.
"This is not up for debate, discussion or negotiations. You did this to yourself, I have to protect everyone in this situation."
The larger male spoke as he stood up from his chair showing his serious stance.
"And about her, she will not be left unprotected. She will be under observation by Jeff, per my request." He stated bluntly to which Jack tensed up.
"Jeff? The same Jeff that goes around saying that he hates mortals and what they stand for? The one who has no shame to eradicate man, woman or child at any given time?" LJ stated as he raised his eyebrow briefly.
Noticing his concern Slender sighed briefly before offering some reassurance to his complaints.
"Trust me Jack I thought about this extensively and Jeff is the only one I can trust with her, if you cannot trust in him; have faith in my judgement and reasoning." Slender said as he then approach the door and he then turned to Jack one last time.
"We must proceed with caution from now on and you have to watch what you do or say. Not everyone is as accepting as I am or as understanding. You brought her into this organization and now it falls on me to maintain order and for you to protect and guide her. Like a...if I may say, like a puppet."
Jack allowed for those words to sink in, he had no intention in treating the young female as a puppet. He could never. If he did even think about such a thing he'd be no better than the gruesome puppet maker himself known as Puppeteer.
He stayed silent and grabbed the stack of files that corresponded to his assignments before he stood up and walked to the door.
"I know it's going to be hard to understand or accept but this is how we have to do things right now."
Slender said as he then opened the door for the other male, Jack huffed and without another choice he walked out and proceeded with his assignments.
