36 MINUTES BEFORE THE INCIDENT
IN HAPINA SHOPPING DISTRICT

It was supposed to be just a typical exorcising mission for Inumaki Toge, and his assigned support for today, Okkotsu Yuta. 

A harmless show which Gojo mindlessly gave to the two, most specifically for Yuta, to have him personally see how Inumaki's cursed technique really works, so that he can also learn something from it.

Yes, it was supposed to be as simple, and smoothly, as that.

To show the famous seal of the Inumaki clan that Toge visibly possesses on his tongue and around both sides of his mouth. The Snake and Fangs which allows Toge to infuse his words with cursed energy to improve the spirit of his commands, forcing all those who hear it to obey.

However, when the curtain didn't go down on its own, even when Inumaki solely finished the mission while Yuta is watching on the sideline with a clear amusement in his expression. 

Everything seems to go haywire, and became highly dangerous for their safety and life, after a quasi-first grade level cursed spirit suddenly appears out of nowhere.

Fortunately, because of their teamwork, the two successfully defeated the cursed and prevented it from giving them more physical injuries.

"Incredible," Yuta unconsciously mumbled to himself after he saw how Inumaki defeated their enemy by just a single word.

"Mustard!" Inumaki angrily shouted while running towards his injured classmate.

"Ah, no." Yuta then tried to wipe off the blood in his forehead using his arm. "I'm fine. I'm fine. It just grazed me."

 Inumaki gave him a suspicious glare first, in attempt hide the worriedness he is feeling, before he sighed to calm himself.

Then, with a soft smile in his lips, Inumaki slowly raised his right hand and gesture Yuta to do a victory high five with him.

"Yeah! Good job!" Yuta cheerful said after he answered his request.

When Yuta is about to look up and comment about the curtain that is still preventing them from exiting the place. Another cursed spirit, with a dark green and greasy caterpillar-like body, suddenly came out nowhere and makes its way towards them using its numerous human-sized feet.

Without thinking much of anything, Yuta immediately goes in front of Inumaki and unsheathed his katana to defend both of them.

However, before he could even swing his katana and hit the cursed with a clear intention of injuring it, the curtain above them instantly vanished into thin air and gives way to the sun to shine its light on them.

At the same time when that happened, both Inumaki and Yuta quickly heard a multiple consecutive shots of a gun coming from their back.

A shots that directly pointed on the cursed spirit forehead, and not surprisingly leave a huge gaping hole on it because of the bullets that didn't even once missed its target.
