There's Always Tomorrow

Chapter 28

                                                                                (Indigo's POV) 

     My fiance and I are enjoying our engagement. We aren't in a rush to get married. I love Ciara and I'm excited for the futrue we have ahead of us. It won't be easy but every part of it is worth it. Ciara is having a difficult time right now. Their dad has been in the hospital for the oast week. Their complicated relationship with their dad doesn't help the sitaution either. I'm doing my best to be their support. 

   "I love you. I want to talk to you about something." Ciara tells me as they just came home. They were at an event for the Heather's bridal stuff. 

   "What is on your mind?" I ask as I sit on the sofa next to them. 

   "I know we wanted to wait to set a date but I want to set one. Life is too short." they state. 

    I look them in the eyes. "What made you change your mind?" I ask. 

  "With all the family stuff that has gone on, it makes me realize life is short." They answer. "I don't want to wait anymore." 

   I smile. "Let's set a date then." I state. 

    "Are you sure?" They ask me. 

   "Yes I'm sure as long as you are." I say. 

   "I'm fine with that. I wouldn't have suggested it if I wasn't. Shall we?" They ask, grabbing a calendar. 

   I cuddle close to them. "We shall." I say. 

    We look through the calendar that we have. The next few months are somewhat busy. Pale Waves has band related events going on. 

  "It was one of the few busiest months of the year." I state as we look at a certain month. 

   "It does seem like the perfect month for us to get married. Its also the right amount of time to plan as well." They say in agreement. 

   "It does give us plenty of time to plan which is important." I state. 

   "Alright. What date?" They ask me. 

   "A date." I think about the day we should get married. I suggest certain dates because of thngs going on that month. Having it on the weekend would be beneficial for everyone. None of us do music things on the weekend except for tour related stuff. 

    "A Saturday is perfect." They agree with me on the day of the week. 

   "Making a choice that is the right one for us." I say. 

   "Exactly. I really want that day to be as perfect as possible." They state.
