After School.
Luna had been sitting in the food place for over an hour with her brother, his friends and Kat.
She had been the center of their conversations because of the 'lunch debacle' according to Kyle. He and his friends munched on some fried chicken as they talked over each other. Luna sighed as she witnessed spit and food particles fly from her bother's mouth. She grabbed a napkin and tutted.
"Hey don't talk with your mouth full, it's disgusting!" Luna told him as she threw the napkin at him.
"Then how am I supposed to talk?" Kyle looked at her.
"When you don't have a shit ton of food in your mouth like a normal person! All I can hear is you smacking." Luna told him off.
"You don't have to be a bitch about it." Kyle rolled his eyes.
"Hey! Don't talk to your sister that way." Kat butted in as she pointed at him.
"Sorry mom." Kyle then mumbled as the table quietened down a little. Wyatt then smiled and turned to Luna. "Thank you for the food Luna." He grinned sweetly.
Luna smiled and shook her head. "Don't mention it, kid." She patted his shoulder before turning back to Kat who was sitting across from her.
Kat glanced at the kids before lowering her voice.
"Did you see Eddie at all today after lunch?" She asked.
"During my free period." Luna shrugged.
Kat stared at her expecting more but Luna laughed a little, obviously annoyed.
"There's nothing more. I asked if he wanted to hang out and turns out...he had something better to do. Obviously. I don't blame him, I fucked up our friendship years ago." Luna sighed.
"Hey, wait a minute. Who says anything about you? Friendship is a two way relationship..." Kat stared at her.
"It's true. We stopped talking...I didn't do anything about it. There's no point in trying to fix anything now, we're done." Luna shrugged as she clasped her hands together.
Kat shook her head. "First of all, I'm going to give him a piece of my mind and second of all...he could've tried speaking to you too. I'm sorry Luna." She then wrapped her own hands around Luna's and gave them a warming squeeze as she gave her a sad smile.
Luna glanced over at her brother and sighed. "Kyle." She spoke up as she took her hands back and crossed them over her chest.
"Yeah yeah, I'll shut up." Kyle nodded before swallowing his food.
"What are your thoughts on Eddie?" She then asked. Elliot and Wyatt instantly stopped chewing and stared at them both in silence.
"I guess I don't know him much..." Kyle shrugged as he tried to avoid eye contact with her.
"But you obviously have some opinion on him. All of you do." She glanced over the guys who were stuck for words.
Elliot sighed as he shrugged. "I mean we don't know him, but you hear stuff around school. We just don't want to get on his bad side." He told her. "We...stay out of his way." He glanced at Wyatt before lowering his eyes to the table.
"At least that's our reason." Wyatt quickly spoke. The both of them looked at Kyle who sighed and frowned at them.
"You can't possibly believe what people say in that school. They'll be a different lie from everyone and none of them are true." Luna told the boys as she shook her head.
"Maybe if you try and get to know - "
"That's bullshit!" Kyle turned to her. "He's freakin' crazy. I hear plenty of shit around that school and I'm in no way interested in talking to him. There's also - "
Kyle stopped mid sentence as he tried to search for words. He then took a breath and puffed some air out from his nose.
"It's bullshit!" He repeated before abruptly standing and tearing himself away from everyone as he stormed out.
Everyone sat staring at each other as their mouths hung slightly ajar.
"Okay, what is going on with your brother?" Kat asked with wide eyes. The girls then turned to Elliot and Wyatt who were just as clueless as them.
"He always like that when it comes to him. He just tells us the same story." Wyatt quickly told them.
Luna and Kat turned to each other and sighed "What is going on?" Luna shook her head.
