Twenty five.

"I can't believe the two of you actually made out!" Kat gasped. "Wasn't it weird?" She then made a face as she giggled.

Luna thought for a moment before slowly shaking her head. "No, I didn't think it was. It felt right." She admitted as a shy smile spread across her face.

"Phew! The two of you are breaking my heart here, that's great! Hey, I am glad I gave the guy a chance though, over the past few weeks...I've realized he is nothing like the way people talk about him. He's a good guy." Kat gave Luna a reassuring smile.

Luna nodded as she sighed. "He's got a heart of gold." 

"Onto the the next subject though, Kyle. What happened afterwards?" Kat asked as she sat forward a little and folded her arms. 

"I don't even know. Eddie and I tried to coax him out of his room to talk to us but he didn't budge. He didn't even speak to me the rest of the night and he was gone this morning." Luna sighed. 

"Well he is here. I saw him and his clan earlier on, he just looks like...plain old stroppy Kyle. Actually he seemed quiet. He seemed sad about something. I mean with everything he spilled out to you and Eddie, it pretty much sucks. I get it." Kat shrugged.

"I get it too and he was right about him not being oblivious. Just because he was younger, didn't mean he didn't understand anything. I guess I just pushed it all aside because I was hurt and didn't want to bring it all up again because I was scared. I didn't even ask him how he felt with the fact his...the guy that was like a brother to him was now gone from his life." 

Luna stared at the table in front of her and took a deep breath. "It sounds like we're an old married couple." She rolled her eyes with a smile. 

"He'll come around. That kid is one stubborn son of a bitch at times, but he also has a heart of gold." Kat grinned at her. "So what's going to happen next?" She giggled.

"I don't know, I guess I'll try and catch him before school's finished...I mean is he going to walk to and from school?" Luna tutted.

"No! Not Kyle, sorry. I meant you and Eddie!" Kat leaned over and shook her arm.

"Oh! Um, I'm not sure I mean we'll probably take things slow and see how things go..." Luna nodded as she tried to convince herself. 

"Hey beautiful." A deep voice startled her. As Luna looked up a pair of soft lips met hers. Eddie then sat down beside her and gave her a warm smile as Patrick and Nathan sat down too.

"Oh yeah, slow." Kat quietly spoke as she sat back and giggled as Patrick put an arm around her.

"Ahem, what's this?" Luna then pointed and changed the subject.

"What? Can't I be a gentleman?" Patrick mocked as he chuckled and looked at Kat who actually for the first time ever, looked lost of words.

"Yes. Keep being a gentleman, please." She then told him with a nod before widening her eyes to Luna, but everyone caught on and laughed which made Patrick smile shyly.

Eddie opened up his bottle of water as he laughed, before resting his hand on top of Luna's and smiling at her. "How are you?" He asked.

"I am...good." She looked up at him and nodded. "How are you?" She asked. 

"I'm great!" He quickly told her which made her laugh. She then heard some laughs behind her and she turned around to see a group of people at a table staring over at them and giggling. She rolled her eyes as she turned back around. 

"Have you spoken to Kyle?" Eddie asked her.

"Nope. I haven't been able too, he's MIA. He didn't leave his room last night and this morning he was gone. He'd already came to school...he won't talk to me." Luna sighed as she shook her head.

Eddie gave her hand a reassuring squeeze before moving some hair out of her face.

"He'll come round. He's a smart kid, just give him some time." 

Luna nodded as she held onto his hand and smiled. 

Patrick cleared his throat. "So guys, I was thinking of having a little get together this weekend at my place. I've got the place to myself and thought we could all hang out? Have a little party?" He asked.

"A party? Hell yes I am in. Luna?" Kat grinned.

"Oh I don't know, what kind of party?" Luna asked.

"Literally just us, however I do thank you for believing for a second there that we throw raging parties with a shit ton of people." Nathan perked up as he chuckled.

Luna nodded as she smiled. "Okay, sure I'm in." She looked at Eddie as he winked at her.

"Is that just a typical weekend for you guys?" Kat then asked as she sat back and folded her arms with a smile. 

Patrick grinned at her, the lines indenting around his mouth as he done so. "Oh y'know just a small gathering of sorts. Rock out to some music, have a little drink - if you're into that. Maybe smoke a little - if you're into that." He nodded.

Luna giggled as she turned away from Eddie and frowned. "Wait, smoke? As in weed?" She asked before glancing at Eddie.

"We really don't do illegal substances, it's all legit." Nathan began to laugh before Kat threw her head back and cackled.
"Nathan, you're literally the definition of a stoner kid." She told him. He looked around for a moment before he shrugged.

"You got me there." He sighed.

Luna stared at Eddie. "You've smoked pot before?" She asked.

"Oh - I uh...it was once!" He began to stutter as everyone at the table stared with wide eyes.

"Oh you asshole. You've totally done it more." Luna shook her head with a smile.

"I don't get it...is she mad or...?" Nathan whispered to everyone.

Luna looked at everyone and sighed. "We said that if we wanted to get high, we'd do it together. Remember that?" She then glanced at Eddie who hid a guilty smile.

"Wait, Luna Martin. Wanted to try drugs? Plural?" Kat stared at her rather shocked as Luna began to laugh. 

"I don't mean crack, cocaine Kathleen! Just weed. We were young, dumb and said to each other if we wanted to try it, then we'd to it together." She admitted as she shrugged.

Eddie began to laugh his nasally laugh as he buried his head into Luna's shoulder. "Yet here we are, still young and dumb..." He sighed. "But! With a little more love." He looked at her. 

"Oh be quiet!" Luna giggled as she pushed his head away. "We're in."
