Luna and Eddie sat and ate dinner in the small alcove living room. She looked around at the minimal décor, neutral colors and almost empty shelves.

"It looks as if you've just moved." She quietly told Eddie as she looked at him.

He was finishing off some mac and cheese as he nodded. "Yeah. This has been our life now." He sighed as he looked at Luna.

"It's still great your dad kept his record player." She then pointed to a shelf where it sat, alongside a hundred records sitting neatly in rows on the shelves.

Eddie chuckled as little as he leaned forward and sat his plate onto the small wooden table. "He'd never get rid of that. I also begged him not too, we couldn't give that up." He smiled.

Luna nodded in agreement as something peaked her curiosity. "Oh!" She gasped. "Your piano? Where is that?" She asked him sitting up.

"You mean the piano that only you could play?" He mocked, smirking a little.

Luna narrowed her eyes and smiled at him.

"We sold mom's piano. She left it when she walked out, we didn't need it..." Eddie then sighed. Luna slumped back down into the sofa and nodded again.

"Have you uh...spoken to your mom recently?" Luna asked him quietly and watched as he instantly started shaking his head slowly, as if he knew the question was coming.

"Not since last year? Maybe just after we moved. I don't know, you sorta forget these things, as life here carries on." Eddie sighed.

Luna stared at him as she picked at her cuticles. "She probably misses you both. It's sad that they couldn't work things out - "

" - Probably, but she didn't have to move to another state." Eddie looked at her. "That, that is being a coward. So she can't associate with her ex husband and child. Saying her and my dad were just going in different paths was bullshit, she just fell out of love with us." He sighed.

Luna stared at him. She'd forgotten how uptight he got when he spoke about his parents.

"Love is bullshit man, how can you say you love someone and then...fall out of it?" He sighed and shook his head before laying it back onto the sofa and closing his eyes.

Luna stared at him and watched as he clenched his jaw slightly. She hovered her hand over his and sat it on top softly and watched as he opened his eyes and turned his head slowly. He then took her hand tight as he smiled.

"She loves you. I'm sure she still loves your dad too. Maybe not in love, but Eddie...sometimes in life that happens. As much as it pretty much sucks and it's heartbreaking...our emotions fall flat. I know it's horrible to say, but to stay in a relationship where you feel nothing can be much worse than leaving."

Eddie stared at her as he nodded. "I know." He almost whispered. "It just fucking sucks!" He then shouted out, making Luna squirm a little. She then laughed when the initial shock was over.

"It does fucking suck!" She then shouted out afterwards before they started laughing. His raspy laugh sounded as he tucked his head down into Luna's arm, as he rubbed his forehead off her skin.

"Ridiculous times." Luna sighed.

"You'd tell me if...you didn't love me anymore right?" Eddie asked her, his words muffled as his face was squished into Luna's arm.

Luna widened her eyes as she smiled. "What?" She asked him. "Ugh, I've to love you now?" She mocked as Eddie raised his head and stared at her.

"Oh fine then, now I know where I stand!" Eddie poked her side which made her snort out. They looked at each other with wide eyes as Eddie remembered how ticklish she could be.

"Don't you dare." She warned him.

Eddie instantly dug his hand into her side as she jumped. "Eddie!" She called out as she tried to pry away from his grip.

"This is why people don't love me!" He cried out, obviously mocking as he tried to suppress his laughter.

"Okay! Okay! Stop, I do love you!" She shouted and Eddie wrapped his own arms around hers. They stared at each other as Luna sighed. "You know I love you..." She quietly told him as she could feel her cheeks burn. Eddie smiled warmly at her before placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

"See that wasn't so bad was it?" He chuckled.

"Ugh you're a dickhead!" She tried with all her force to push her from him.

"Eh you love me." He mocked with a smile as he sat up on the sofa and sighed.

"Not as much to wash your dishes!" She laughed as she collected their plates and handed them to him.

Eddie turned to her and rolled his eyes. "No. Course not, but I do. So I suppose I'll do it." He took them from her and stood up.
