Luna made her way to her locker from class. The blur of people whizzed past her as her eyes focused on the ground, watching her feet walk. She gripped onto the folder in her hands before she glanced up. Left on the west corridor to her locker, something she used to get mixed up.

Once she turned the corridor the second bell went for lunch. The hallways bustled as she tried to stay out of people's way. She counted the lockers and as she drew closer to hers she saw a luminous blue sticky note stuck to the metal door.

Her eyes grew wide as she sighed and stared at the familiar writing.

' Missed you this morning x '

Slowly peeling it from her locker, she sighed. She was actually surprised it stayed in place for the period of time it did. With either it eventually unsticking or some idiot from the school ripping it off.

Luna put the combination into the locker before ripping it open and throwing it folder inside. She then saw another blue sticky note waiting to be read under her folder. She glanced around for a moment before lifting up her folder and taking the note.

' Free period, our place? x '

Luna frowned. The bleachers. It was always her and Eddie's place back in middle school. As small as they were.

Just then her phone vibrated and she dug into her back pocket and glanced at the text from Kat.

' Hey where are you? ❤ '

Luna quickly texted her back and grabbed her English work for after lunch. She hadn't actually been texting Eddie as much over the past couple of days. Not after the arcade, she was freaked out. She felt like she was losing her mind, and she hadn't told anyone.

A soft touch ran from one shoulder to the next which made her jump a little.

"Hey!" Kat grinned beside her.

"Jeez Kat." Luna sighed as she shook her head.

"Aw did you think I was Eddie?" Kat cooed and made a face.

Luna gave her look before shaking her head and sighing. "I haven't been talking to him that much...over the past couple days." She admitted.

"Is everything okay?" Kat asked as she frowned a little.

Luna stared into her locker before glancing around at people of passed them. "I feel like I'm going crazy. We had a moment...at the arcade I think."

"Holy shit! Wait is that bad?!" Kat grabbed onto her arm with a huge smile. "Did you guys make out or something?" She asked.

"No! No...it was - we...we got caught up in a moment when we were getting our pictures taken and Eddie, he grabbed my face! but before anything happened a bunch of kids gave me the fright of my life." Luna sighed deeply and stared at Kat who stood with wide eyes.

"Is that why you were so quiet on the way home?" She asked, as she leaned back on the lockers and folded her arms.

"I don't know what to think. It's just me being a dick right?" Luna asked.

"What?! No! Luna it's obvious he's into you. The chemistry radiates from the both of you, it's pretty crazy." Kat sighed. "I get it, you guys were friends but...you can't help having feelings for someone." She then smiled and winked.

Luna ran her hands through the front of her hair as she sighed. She tried to contain a smile on her face as she shook her head. "I just...I keep feeling the metal from his rings scrape along my chin." She whispered as her cheeks beamed.

Kat's jaw hung open slightly as she began to laugh. "Dude he was going to devour you!" She laughed which made a few people turn and look at them.

Luna pushed her away and hushed her. "Oh my god, shut up!" She laughed as she covered her face. "He knows something is up. I've been quiet...and he wants to meet during my free period."

"Well meet him! Ditch it, who cares?" Kat giggled as she leaned into Luna's locker and took out her hand cream. She began to apply some to her skin as she sighed.
"What about lunch? We usually sit with them?" She asked.

Luna stared at her in silence.

"You're not going to ditch lunch!" Kat warned her.

"I'm not ditching! I just thought that maybe we should sit with Kyle and the boys for a change..." Luna sighed.

"Okay, first of all they're big boys. They can survive lunch, and second of all the dude you've been in love with for years finally makes a move on you and you're going to ditch him?"

Luna stared at her as she pieced together the thoughts in her brain. For years she's been trying to make sense of it and in thirty seconds, Kat manages to tell her the truth she's been trying to hide away in the back of her mind for years.

"Okay, lets go get some lunch." Luna nodded.

Kat nodded frantically as she screwed the lid onto the tub of hand cream and placed it back inside Luna's locker before grabbing her body spritz. After a few spritzes of it she slammed over Luna's locker and grinned. "Let's go!" She grabbed onto her arm as they began to walk down the hallway.

As soon as the girls set foot into the canteen Luna looked around to see if she could spot Kyle. She couldn't. She then frowned as she locked eyes with the table where Eddie and his friends sat at. Patrick and Nathan looked deep in conversation but Eddie had his face in his phone.

"Let's see what's left to eat first." Kat nudged her. Luna then followed her as she kept her eyes on Eddie. She kept repeating over in her head, please look up. See her first, before she gets to that table. Once the girls got into the queue it was Patrick that noticed the girls as Kat waved at him flirtatiously. A cheeky grin spread across his face as he said something to the guys.

Eddie's face instantly lit up when he locked eyes with Luna. She then smiled and nodded her head forward and watched as he smiled widely as he sat up. The girls collected a tray and started to gather bits and bobs that pass as lunch before they headed over to the table.

Luna locked eyes with Eddie as a memory passed in her mind. The same look he used to always give her, as if he's not seen her in years and his eyes intense yet soft. A smile sat on his face. He would always have that look on his face back when they saw each other again after they'd not hung out for a day or two. Relief. Peace.

He then stood up and took her lunch tray from her as he pulled out the seat beside him with his free hand.

"I thought you weren't coming today..." He admitted as they sat down.

"Sorry, I got...caught up. I got your notes." Luna smiled as he raised an eyebrow.

"Bleachers? Free period?" She asked and he nodded with a grin.

"Our spot." He softly spoke as he smiled.
