The next day.
Luna sat in the school library as she typed away on the keyboard. She clicked around on the mouse and sighed as she sat back and took in her work.
A soft hand pressed against her back and she instantly knew who it was. Once she looked up Eddie smiled at her as he sat down beside her.
"Hello there beautiful." He leaned in and pecked her lips, before placing his hand in its rightful place on her thigh. "You texted, to meet you here? I know English turns you on, but it's kind of a public place for a hot makeup sesh." He joked.
"What? Public doesn't turn you on?" Luna mocked as Eddie's face turned bright red as he chuckled.
"I have something to show you." She then smiled as she clicked onto the documents in the computer and clicked on to the external hard drive. Once it loaded, a folder popped up on screen with Eddie's name. "Click it." She told him sliding the mouse over to his free hand.
Eddie frowned as he clicked onto the folder. His face then lit up as the screen filled up with all of his artwork.
"What the fuck?" He asked before he chuckled.
"I copied all of your work onto a thumb drive. I thought we could upload your portfolio with your application. Just by the use of a scanner, the internet and an external drive! Also my dads help..." She trailed off as she turned away from him. That was another thing she wasn't ready to discuss with him just yet.
Her dad was actually Portland Community College's dean. Luna had been wanting to attend there since she was little. She and Eddie talked about what it would be like to apply to college together. Once they stopped talking Luna stopped believing that would happen sadly and her dad was the one who pushed her to apply to NYU. Luna was going to be the one to give Eddie a little push for Portland.
"I can't believe this...it looks so different digital." Eddie stared at the screen in awe.
"Did I do good?" Luna cautiously asked as she shrugged.
"Good? You done amazing, you're amazing!" Eddie laughed as he grabbed her face and kissed her. "Thank you so much" He gasped as he stared at her. "I...I..." He began to stutter a little before the bell rang making him jump.
"Well, duty calls. I'll see you at lunch, keep this safe!" She pulled the thumb drive from the computer and handed it to him.
-
Lunch.
The cafeteria was in full swing. People we chattering, shouting and lining up at Chrissy's table to get their prom tickets.
"Is it just me or is this getting rather...sickening?" Kat asked as she scowled towards the crowd of prom enthusiasts and sighed tearing her eyes away and shaking her head.
Luna smiled as she shook her head. She rested her chin on her hand and watched as Eddie drew on her spare hand with a black inky pen.
"Kat you've been pro-prom all your high school life, what's changed?" Luna asked her.
"People change their minds." Kat mumbled as she stared at the table. "I mean it's stupid right?" She glanced at Patrick then to Luna. Luna stared at Patrick as she began to knit together what Kat's problem was.
"It's not stupid, whether people like it or not it's part of our high school experience." Luna shrugged raising her arm a little from the table.
Eddie let out a grumble as he held her hand down. "Stop moving, it'll ruin my tattoos." He told her and Luna giggled to herself as she watched him concentrate with his tongue sticking out across his top lip.
