Luna sat in her room as she checked over some homework. Her leg dangled off her bed as she swayed it around.

A light knock at her bedroom door made her look up.

"Come in." She sighed expecting to see her mom's head pop through the gap.

"Hey." Kyle smiled.

Luna closed over her folders and sat up straight. "Hi, everything okay?" She asked.

Kyle nodded. "Can I come in?" He asked.

"Of course." Luna invited him in by raising her hand. Kyle entered her room and closed over the door as he glanced around a little nervously.

"Um...about earlier, what I meant to say was I'm happy for you." He told her.

"You said congratulations." Luna giggled as Kyle laughed and shook his head.
"Yeah, sorry I don't really know what to say in those situations. I'm socially awkward, as you know." He shrugged.

"You're not. You're cool." Luna nodded.

"Thanks..." Kyle sighed. "So you and Eddie. How long have you known that?" He asked as he walked over to her chair and sat down.

Luna stared at him, surprised yet a little cautious he was having this conversation with her.

"I mean, I guess I've liked him since I met him." She admitted. "Well, maybe not right away. Maybe once we got closer and became friends, I realized I had a crush on him. Those feelings didn't really away over the years, just got stronger if anything - are you sure you want to have this conversation with your sister?" Luna asked.

Kyle nodded.

"I was younger, but I knew something was going on. Even now, over the past few weeks. There's always been something there between the two of you. I guess, that's why I was so pissed off." He sighed.

Luna frowned at him. "Because I liked him?" She asked confused.

"Because he broke off contact with you for four years." He told her.

"Kyle, I've already said the two of us did it. Both of us were to blame for that." She sighed.

"I know that now, I didn't. You didn't talk about him much, I just assumed he stopped talking to you and continued to swan around school like it was no big deal. I was pissed off when you started talking to him again because I thought you were stupid letting him back into your life, after what he did."

He sat in silence for a moment as he hung his head a little. "I was an asshole and I overreacted. I clearly didn't know the situation and instead of asking you like a normal person, I kicked off like a stupid younger brother." He sighed.

"Oh Kyle." Luna stood up and walked over to him. "Come here." She held her arms out and he immediately wrapped his arms around her torso and held her tight.

Luna gasped a little before resting her arms around his shoulders with a smile. "You weren't a stupid younger brother, your heart was in the right place." She told him.

"I missed Eddie too. He was this brother I never had, and he was so cool. His music, his knowledge of video games and he just stopped coming round. Disappeared and I was angry at him. I really was an asshole to you and him. I'm sorry Luna." He sighed as he looked up at her and let her go.

"Thank you." Luna smiled before scrunching up his overgrown hair. Kyle laughed he shook his head and threw her hand away.

"I'll apologize to Eddie, I owe him that. He's cool." Kyle smiled.

"Thank you." Luna grinned at him.

"So you're going to senior prom. That'll be something..." He told her with wide before shaking his head.

"That is a risk I am willing to take. You only get one senior prom Kyle, don't knock it until you've at least tried it eh?" She pushed his shoulder back with her knuckle and smiled.

Kyle sniggered as he shook his head. "It is going to be hilarious seeing you dressed like some fruit cake." He laughed.

Luna rolled her eyes as she scoffed. "And there he is, ladies and gentlemen. My little brother." She took a step back and laughed.

Kyle stood up and shrugged. "Awesome brother though. I better go and finish my homework, English is kicking my ass." He rolled his eyes.

"Don't stay up too late..." She told him as he began to walk to her door. "Oh uh Kyle?" She held out her fist and watched as he laughed and shook his head. "Oh come on..." She egged on. "Gimme some fin..." She nodded.

Kyle chuckled as he fist bumped her. "Noggin!"

"Dude!" They both laughed. "See, you're never too old for finding nemo." Luna giggled.
"Kay, better get your work done squirt. Off you go." She sighed as she made her way back over to her bed.

Kyle stopped at her bedroom door and turned around. "Y'know...since you're already a genius in English..." He told her. "You totally wouldn't mind helping your brother?" He asked with an innocent smiled.

"Oh!" Luna held her hand to her chest. "Genius you say, please tell me more!" She laughed. "Come on, let's go see what we're dealing with. Is it sophomore year Macbeth?" She asked as they headed to his room.
