Luna sat quietly as she scribbled some notes down for her homework assignment. It was lunch time, and she sat in the noise ridden cafeteria trying to block out all of the obnoxious chatter and shouting. She kept trying to focus on her writing before she sighed.

Sitting her pen down, she turned around and glanced at the few tables behind her. A couple of people from each table was already staring at her, to her surprise. More people had started to do so, she noticed and she knew exactly why. She frowned a little as those people began to whisper to each other.

Just then a soft squeeze on her thigh made her turn back around to look at Eddie. He was practically part of her, with how close he was sitting. His hand firmly placed on her leg.

"Are you okay?" He asked her.

"Hm? Yeah, we have collected more fans." She told him before picking up her pen again.

Eddie turned to look over his shoulder before he sighed. "Forget about em." He nodded as his hand gripped onto her leg.

"It just pisses me off." Luna told him as she leaned more pressure onto her notebook as she wrote.

"With people looking at us?" He asked her.

"People looking at us thinking we're part of some deranged cult, because they've made up their mind about you and your friends." Luna told him, obviously pissed off. She turned to Eddie who was staring at her with wide eyes.

"It pisses me off that they've made up their mind about you and they don't even know you." She then sighed.

A soft smile appeared on Eddie face as he nodded. "I don't care. You shouldn't either, trust me. I'm cool." He nodded before lifting his hand and moving some hair from her face. "All I need are my friends, and you. Besides, we're hellfire." He whispered to her.

Luna smiled at him. "They should know about the guy who's scared of foxes." She then told him before looking away.

"I'm sorry?!" Eddie chuckled. "Scared?"

"Terrified. Remember that one night we heard one in my backyard and you nearly crapped yourself?" She teased.

"I do not recall." He calmly told her.

"You so do, and it was hilarious. Are you still scared of them and their cute little fuzzy faces?" Luna giggled as she nudged him with her shoulder.

"Fuzzy my ass, they look evil." He quietly told her with wide eyes which made Luna laugh. "The little straw like ginger fur and beady eyes. Salivating at the mouth thinking about their next meal, when it could be you." He told her before grabbing her sides, making her jump.

Eddie burst out laughing as Luna gasped and shoved him. "You're an asshole." She laughed.

"Can you guys get anymore nauseating?" Kat then asked him.

"Excuse you?" Eddie turned to her.

"Kidding!" Kat laughed sarcastically before clearing her throat. Eddie sat his hand back down in its rightful place of Luna's thigh as he eyed up Patrick. He looked at Kat then back at him and frowned.

Patrick stared at him with wide eyes. Luna caught on as she looked at Eddie.

"Um, what's going on?" She leaned in and whispered in his ear.

Kat had been acting shady since that morning at Patrick's. Maybe she felt embarrassed.

A crackly voice then bellowed out from the microphones around the canteen. The chatter quietened down as people started to listen to whom it sounded like their Principle.

"- Also fellow senior students please don't forget to start getting your tickets for your prom! A booth will be set up every lunch time with your classmate - "

" - And formally running for prom queen!" A shrilly squeal echoed in the cafeteria from Chrissy Cunningham. The announcement finished and cut out, as Chrissy grinned at a couple of tables from Luna and everyone.

"I will be setting up a little booth every lunch time, so don't wait until the last minute to get your tickets everyone! Also remember to vote Cunningham for prom queen!" Chrissy shouted to everyone in the canteen as a Jason Carver - football captain stared at her like she was his next meal.

"So...prom." Luna cleared her throat as her table fell silent and stared at her. She looked at Kat, who never misses the opportunity to talk about prom. She then lifted her head that was resting on her hand and sighed as she shook her head.

"It's not a big deal" She then shrugged as she collected her tray, glanced at Patrick and then stood up and walked away. Luna watched her disappear out of the canteen before she glared at Patrick.

"What is going on between you?" She demanded.

Patrick sighed as he shrugged. "After I told you about Saturday night? I tried to kiss Kat when you guys left on Sunday and she's been weird ever since. I think I fucked up, maybe she's not into me as much as I'm into her."

Luna thought for a moment. "She didn't tell me anything." She sighed. "She does like you, seriously. It must be something else..."
