Luna stood with Kat, Patrick and Nathan as she kept glancing up at the boys further up the arcade. A fight hadn't broke out yet, so that was a good thing right? They were actually cheering and it looked like they were enjoying themselves.
Before she knew it they were all returning with faces of glee.
"He was awesome! Amazing!" Wyatt beamed as Elliot agreed.
"I didn't know you were such..." Elliot began.
"Such a nerd?" Eddie laughed with the boys. "Here me now! There will be no more retreating, from Eddie the banished!" He put on a deep and dramatic voice as he raised his fist in the air. Elliot and Wyatt both stared at him in awe "Eh us nerds need to stick together." He then told them as he patted his hand onto Elliot and Wyatt's backs softly.
"Yeah...thanks." Kyle nodded as he shrugged.
Luna sighed as she checked the time. "Well go and do your shit, we can't stay here all night. Enjoy with the time we have left." She told the boys before they walked off.
"That seemed like it didn't go too bad." Luna told Eddie as she handed him back his jacket.
"It wasn't too bad." Eddie nodded as he put his jacket on. "So what are we going to do?" He asked as he looked around the place.
"I don't know. Win me a prize." She joked as he laughed.
"Let me at em!" He laughed with her as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
The two of them jumped from game to game as they tried to win prizes. Neither of them were winning but they were getting extremely competitive.
"When I pull the lever, you need to slam down on the button!" Luna told Eddie as they stood at a claw machine.
"This is bullshit, you don't win anything on these!" He told her, his hand hovering above the buttons.
"Go!" Luna shouted as Eddie slammed on the button. The claw fell and retracted without gripping onto the prize that sat in the unit.
"Oh come on!" He shouted and laughed. "It's bullshit, its a scam!" He shouted and walked away.
"Be quiet!" Luna jumped at him and covered his mouth. "There are kids here!" She giggled as he stared at her.
"Always were the mature one." He commented under her hand before she tore it away from his mouth.
"Okay, so we have a few coins left. Let's just get rid of them." She sighed and looked around, before Mitch took her hand and guided her to a large glass cabinet. The more coins that are put in, the more chance of the coins knocking a prize down.
Luna sighed as she started to push the coins into the machines. "I always hated these things, what a waste." She commented as Eddie stood beside her.
"Yeah, these places are. They are fun though, it makes your brain want to do everything to waste cash." He chuckled.
"So how was Kyle earlier?" She asked him.
"Y'know, he threw a few words my way. Wasn't too into it, but he wasn't completely ignorant." Eddie admitted to her.
"I don't get it. I'm going to ask him though, I can't keep up with his mood swings. Surely he must be getting sick and tired of it too?" She glanced up at Eddie.
"Yeah, you would think so right?" He nodded as he pushed her hand aside and slid a coin into the machine.
Luna frowned as she pushed his hand back. "Get your own machine!" She told him off as she laughed.
"Don't be so rude! Look at you go as the worlds slowest person, you're supposed to do it quick to knock the coins down!" He told her before he stood behind her and gathered up all of the loose change before throwing it all into the machine. He laughed as he rested his chin onto her shoulder as he mocked into her ear.
"Get off me! You're ruining this moment for me." Luna laughed.
"Such a ridiculous effort!" Eddie told her off.
Before they knew it all of the coins were gone and they had won no prizes. "Ohh no!" Luna exclaimed. "See what happens when you rush things. Going to fast spoils the experience." She told him and listened as Eddie cackled behind her.
It took her a moment before she realized and turned bright red. "You are disgusting, Munson." She giggled as she swung her head back. Eddie continued to laugh as he wrapped his arms around her waist and held her tight before burrowing his head into the back of her neck.
"We're out of coins. I guess the party is over." Luna sighed as she looked around the arcade.
"Not yet it isn't." Eddie told her as he spun her around and pointed to their infamous photo booth. Luna's eyes lit up as she looked at him. "No way!" She laughed.
He then dug into his jean pockets and pulled five dollars. "What do you say?" He asked her.
"Lets go!" She laughed as they ran towards the booth and pulled open the curtain before stepping inside.
"Okay okay, let's plan this! Faces, what faces are we doing?" Luna asked.
"Okay, scary face!" Eddie told her.
"That ain't hard for you " Luna joked as Eddie turned to her with wide eyes.
"That actually hurt my feelings" He joked before he jabbed her side slightly to tickle her as the counter hit zero and one photo flashed. They then posed with rock and roll signs as another flashed. They flipped off the camera for a third flash before they quickly gripped onto each other with large grins for the fourth flash. They then stared at each other smiling widely as the fifth and final flash went off.
They continued to stare at each other in awe before the computerized voice from the booth told them their photos were ready. Luna sat back and scratched the back of her head before clearing her throat. Eddie picked up the two photo strips and smiled.
"Aww look at our crazy asses." He laughed. "For your wall. I noticed you didn't have our old ones up anymore." He sighed.
Luna frowned at him as she took the photo strip. "Yeah like you do?" She asked and watched him nod. "I actually do." He admitted to her.
Luna smiled at him. "I actually have them...in my locker." She told him. "I moved them there because...seeing them everyday always put a smile on my face." She giggled as she glanced down at the photos again. "I've missed this." She sighed.
Eddie lowered his head and rested it against Luna's forehead. "You got another five bucks?" He asked her, as she lifted her head slightly.
"No why?" She asked.
He stared at her for a moment before shaking his head slowly. "Fuck it, we don't need it anyway." He told her as he ran his free hand along her jaw and brought her face towards his before they were caught off guard by screaming from a bunch of kids outside the curtain.
Luna swallowed hard as her mouth went dry.
"We should go then." She quickly told him as she avoided his eyes.
Eddie took in a deep breath before sighing. "Yeah, let's go." He nodded before he opened up the curtain and they both left.
