"Pheww!" Luna gasped out as they came to a standstill in her street with a slight hand break pull.
"Okay! Now the keys come out, keys out!" Eddie told her as he held onto the little handle above the window before ripping the keys from the ignition.
"You shit your pants, that's hilarious. Bad ass Eddie Munson." Luna giggled as she unbuckled her seat belt. He then gave her a stern look with a smirk before shaking his head.
"I'll get better at it..." She cleared her throat before sighing and glancing out the window
"My parents cars aren't there. One of them probably dropped Kyle off at his friends, unless he stayed the night. Either way, I'm sure I'll hear plenty later." She sighed as she turned back around to Eddie."Tell them you spent the night at mine." He shrugged.
"I was planning on. It doesn't exactly help though when I'm stinking of pot." She sighed and scratched her forehead. She then got out the truck as Eddie moved onto the drivers seat and closed over the door.
"Are you sure you're okay? You could come in for a bit..." Luna nodded.
"I'm fine, the headaches worn off a little. Besides my dad will be probably be wondering where I am too." He nodded.
"You were at mine?" She asked with a smirk.
"Of course! And we stayed up way past our bedtime eating loads of junk food whilst watching too much television." He joked.
Luna laughed as she shook her head. "Those were the days." She sighed. "But this time instead of watching endless amount of shit television we're..." She trailed off as she leaned in and kissed him softly.
Eddie sighed once she pulled away from him. "Can I still come inside?" He asked as he sat up more.
"Text me when you get home!" She told him with a smile and wide eyes.
"Will do." Eddie slid his sunglasses over his eyes again before starting the engine. He then turned to her again and sat his hand on top of hers as it rested on the truck. He began to think.
"Are you okay?" She asked him.
"Yeah..." He opened his mouth as if he was going to say something. He then sighed before nodding. "I'm fine." He gave her small smile before he then drove away.
Luna watched his truck drive out of the street before she turned and headed into her house. She threw the keys down on the little unit in the hallway as she sighed. The house was empty. She turned into the living room and jumped as Kyle sat on the sofa facing the door with his Nintendo Switch in hand.
"Jeez Kyle!" Luna grabbed her chest and sighed.
"You were out all night." Kyle stated the obvious.
"Where's...mom and dad this morning?" Luna asked.
"Mom's at work." Kyle looked up at her and Luna stared at him as she quickly began to think of ways to avoid her dad.
"Dad's out just now though." Kyle then told her. Luna took a sigh of relief without making it obvious as she just smiled and nodded.
"You didn't go to your friends?" Luna asked.
"Nope." Kyle sighed as he switched off his game. "I was actually...hoping we could talk. You obviously didn't come home so." He shrugged. "Were you with him?" He then asked and frowned.
Luna sighed as she backed out of the living room and made her way down to the kitchen.
"Yes, I was with Eddie and Kat. If that makes a difference." She told him as he followed her. "Where were you with Kat? Was there a party?" He asked and folded his arms.
"No, not really. We were at Patrick's" Luna told him the truth as she searched the refrigerator. She grabbed some vitamin water before closing over the door and turning back to Kyle.
"There's some bagels there." He told her quietly as he pointed to the counter. Luna smiled as she walked over and inspected them.
"I got you a cream cheese one...with sesame and lots of seeds." Kyle shrugged.
"You got me breakfast? Thank you Kyle." Luna smiled at him as tears stung her eyes. "You haven't done that in..."
"Yeah well dad and I headed out earlier, so..." Kyle told her.
Luna bit into the bagel and it instantly felt like heaven. Post munchies was a thing too.
"Are you...like together with him now?" Kyle asked.
"Huh?" Luna turned with a mouth full of food.
"You didn't speak for as long. After being friends for years...now you've made up, you're what? Dating?" He asked.
Luna stared at him, lost for words. She licked some seasoning from her finger as she put the bagel down with other hand and sighed.
Kyle sighed as he rolled his eyes. "I saw you kissing him. At the window? I just don't get how you went from one extreme to the next?!" He asked holding out his arms.
"What are you talking about?" Luna frowned.
"You didn't speak for four years and now you're kissing him?" Kyle shrugged.
"We have...a lot of suppressed feelings, Kyle. You know this." Luna told him as she walked past him and out the kitchen. "You understand how feelings work right? We really liked each other for years, and now we've decided to act on those feelings."
"Of course I know feelings, I'm not a narcissist." Kyle told her.
"Then why are you making this so difficult for me?! You have done nothing but chip away at my feelings for weeks Kyle! I've done everything I can to try and make you talk to me. You just throw it back in my face, what is it you want me to do?!" Luna almost shouted with tears in her eyes.
Kyle stared at her in silence, rather stunned.
"I just find it hard to believe. You've went from one extreme to the next, that's what I mean. Now you're hanging out with his friends? The freaks? According to Kat, and you stink. You stink of weed!" Kyle told her.
Luna rolled her eyes as she gave out a defeated sigh. "Okay sorry dad! I don't know what to do anymore, Kyle. I can't keep up with your extremeness. You're mood swings are impossible to deal with." She held up hands up before she started climbing the stairs.
"Luna! Where are you going?" Kyle called out.
"I'm done!" She shouted from the top landed before she slammed the bathroom door.
