Luna and Eddie sat outside on her front porch as they made fun of each other as well as annoyed each other.
"I'm serious, stop acting like a dick." Luna giggled as she pushed him.
"You're such a bully, telling me not to be myself." Eddie laughed as he wrapped his arms around her and held her arms down. "Apologize." He egged on in her ear. "Apologize." He repeated before he kissed her cheek.
He traced his lips across her cheek and down her neck.
Luna giggled as she closed her eyes as she leaned into him more before she shook him off. "Eddie we're going to get caught." She told him as she wriggled from his grip.
"Sounds hot, sneaking around." Eddie told her as he kissed her neck.
"Are you saying I'm your dirty little secret?" She gasped as she turned to him.
Eddie stared at her with wide eyes before he chuckled. "You're far from that, my precious girl." He told her.
"Hmm, what was that?" Luna mocked as she leaned in closer to him.
"You heard me." He grinned he leaned his head back as he stared at her.
"Repeat it please. I thought you had the hots for Chrissy Cunningham?" She mocked with wide eyes and a smile.
Eddie shook his head as he laughed, moving his hand along Luna's jaw before he leaned in.
"Just you my girl. It's you." He told her before he kissed her. He held her by placing his hand around the back of her neck. She then pulled away from him as she heard a noise. Turning around she sighed before looking at him.
Eddie sighed as he gave her a warm smile. "Would it be so bad if your parents knew?" He asked.
"It wouldn't be bad." She admitted. "I just don't want them to find out by catching us with your tongue down my throat." She turned a little red as she placed some hair behind her ear. Eddie smirked as he looked away and cleared his throat.
She then frowned and scratched the inside of her arm softly. "I mean...can I ask, what are we?" She looked at him.
"What...do you mean?" Eddie frowned a little confused.
"Like what are we doing? I mean we just became friends again a few weeks ago and now...we're making out and we've said we like each other...and have done for as long. I don't know, I'm just a little confused where we stand." She told him in a more hushed voice.
"You're my best friend, Luna." Eddie told her with a genuine smile. "You've been there for me during some pretty hard shit, and as much as I hated all that time we spent apart over the past couple of years, I'm glad you're in my life." He took her hands and squeezed them.
"I always hated how I felt when I was younger, because I thought if you ever found out you'd never speak to me again. I mean, telling you I've had feelings for you for a long time might've sent you over the edge, like what the fuck?! That's weird!" He began to chuckle.
"Our friendship used to be a coverup for me. I was like yeah cool, we're friends and I'm going to pretend I'm not seriously into you. I was young and stupid, because that's not true. You are my best friend, whether I have feelings for you or not."
Luna smiled at him as she sighed. "It has been a pretty crazy few weeks." She admitted as they began to laugh.
"We, Luna Martin, are two people who have some pretty strong feelings for each other. Never mind the chemistry!" He laughed. He lifted his hand and took Luna's cheek before running his thumb across her skin. "Would...would you want to make us official?" He asked, his dark eyes searching hers.
Luna gasped a little as she bit down on her lip. "You mean...?"
"Would you want to be my girlfriend?" He quietly asked her, almost a whisper.
Now the giggles began. Luna shook her head as she began to laugh quietly which made Eddie sigh as he shook his head with a grin.
"You're unbelievable." He told her.
"I'm sorry!" Luna cleared her throat. "I would love to be, yes." She then told him as she sat her hand on top of his. Eddie's face lit up before he glanced away from her as he tried to conceal his emotions.
"One thing is first though, we have to tell our parents and Kyle. About us and prom." She then told him as she looked at him seriously. Eddie stared at her he nodded, he then pecked her lips and sat up straight.
"Shall we?" He held out his hand. Luna took his hand as they both stood up and headed inside the house. As Luna closed over the front door, her dad was walking down the hallway reading some papers.
"Hello you two." He grinned.
"Hi. Um dad?! Are you busy right now?" Luna asked him. Jasper turned and looked at her as he shook his head.
"Everything okay?" He asked a little alarmed.
Luna and Eddie glanced at each other before she swallowed. "Um, yeah. I just need to talk to you and mom about something. Kyle too. Right now, is that okay?" She asked.
Jasper stared at them before a small smirk began to appear on his lips. "Ahem, Lois! Could you come into the living room please?" He called before walking to the stairs and bellowing out Kyle's name. Luna and Eddie entered the living room and gave each other a nervous look. Eddie then gave Luna's hand a reassuring squeeze.
"Is everything okay?" Luna's mom asked as she entered the living room with her husband before she looked over to see Luna and Eddie standing. Kyle soon entered. He looked over at them and smiled a little before he headed over to the sofa and threw himself down. Lois and Jasper sat on the other sofa and now all eyes were on Luna and Eddie who stood in the middle of the room facing them all.
"Um...mom, dad...Kyle." Luna began. "Eddie and I just wanted to tell you something, that we've pretty much came to terms with over the past few weeks." She nodded glancing at Eddie.
"I don't know how you'll react, or how you'll feel but um...I - we..." She began to stutter.
"Well, we're together." She nodded.Silence.
"Together?" Lois perked up.
Eddie then slid his hand into Luna's and intertwined their fingers. "Together." He smiled. "We both have talked a lot...and for a very long time now, we both have had very strong feelings for each other. More than friendship." Eddie told them.
"Oh and we're going to prom together." Luna chirped in, her voice a little shaky with nerves.
Lois and Jasper both exchanged a look before they smiled and let out a laugh, almost sounding relived."I mean, it was bound to happen at some point?" Lois smiled at them as she hovered her hand over her mouth.
"I'm sorry?" Luna asked.
"Oh come on, we've known for years! We're your parents, it's just how it is. I mean, even your parents did too Eddie. More so your mother." Lois nodded.
"So...you're okay with it?" Eddie asked.
"Of course!" Jasper chuckled as he stood up and headed over to them. "You kids have a lot of history. I trust you both." He took their shoulders with one hand each as he nodded with a sincere smile. Lois joined him before she quickly gave the two of them a hug.
"Okay! Great, thank you!" Luna sighed with relief before she looked over to Kyle who sat silent on the sofa.
"Kyle?" She asked.
He looked at them before he shook his head and rolled his eyes, a smile forming on his lips.
"It's about time to be honest, the tension with you two...I mean, congratulations? Is that what you say in these situations?" He asked as he laughed. They laughed.
Luna stared at him in surprise. "Look man, I know you'll take care of my sister." He shrugged and smiled.
