The both of them walked into Luna's room. She closed the door over and left it slightly ajar.
Luna sat down on the edge of her bed as Eddie joined her. "What is going on with Kyle?" He asked.
"I don't know. He's been this hostile little idiot for the past few weeks." She took a deep breath and let out a small chuckle once she saw Eddie's face. His eyes were wide and surprised by her words.
"I mean it with love. He's had an attitude on him and it won't let up. He's had it with me, Kat and my parents. I could only imagine how those guys are getting on with him too." She shook her head and rested her hands on her temples.
"Hey, hey come here." He softly took her hands and sat them down in front of her as he squeezed them a little.
"Take a breath. You're okay." He nodded.
Luna smiled at him. "I don't know if its hormones, y'know typical teenage strops or if it's something more. He won't talk to me, or my parents."
Eddie listened to her and chuckled a little. "Well it could be. Look how I was at fourteen. I was a right pain in the ass, I was crazy." He told her.
"He's fifteen, and you had a lot going on." She sighed.
"He's fifteen now? Jesus, that is scary. He was such a great kid, he used to bounce off the walls and everything. Him and his friends used to make forts and all that shit." Eddie frowned a little.
Luna nodded as she agreed with him. "You used to always help him. Which is why I don't understand why he was so hostile towards either. Elliot and Wyatt may not remember you, but Kyle was always around you."
Eddie sighed as he realized he still had a hold onto Luna's hands. He smiled as he ran his thumbs across her knuckles.
"There is a lot of shit that gets passed around that school. People have probably told him I've killed someone." He sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Eddie!" Luna exclaimed. "That is not funny!" She frowned.
"I know! How you think I feel? I'm the one everyone talks about..." He laughed a little before his face turned serious. "The guys and I aren't bad people. We just act on it, because why the fuck not." He then sighed.
"I know you're not a bad person Eddie." Luna smiled. "People are assholes anyway, it's high school."
She looked down and turned her hands around as Eddie intertwined their fingers. They both giggled a little and shook their heads. "I've uh, missed this. I've missed our weekends that consisted of arcade games and over indulging in milkshakes." He told her quietly.
Luna sat in silence as she nodded, staring down at their hands. Eddie scanned over her face as he smiled.
"Hey, Kyle's going to be okay. We've all been there right? I'm sure its either mood swings, or a girl." Eddie told her.
"A girl?" Luna asked.
"Yeah, sometimes it drives us crazy when we're so into a girl and we don't know how to tell them." He grinned as his cheeks flustered a little.
Luna narrowed her eyes with suspicion and smile. "A Girl huh?"
"Or boy. It is the 21st century." He quickly shrugged.
"Mhm, and you turned into a grouchy old man when you had a crush?" She challenged him. Eddie stared at her as he began to smile.
"A little, sometimes. I got more...obnoxious." He then rolled his eyes.
"Weren't you always obnoxious?" She laughed as he pulled her hands which made her fall forward a little.
"Okay smart ass." He laughed. "I would suggest to talk to him like I used too but something tells me he'd rather see my ass in a furnace right now." He widened his eyes.
Luna looked at him and smiled. "Thank you, I appreciate it. I'll keep that in mind." She twirled the ring that sat on his pointer finger. It was an old silver metal with a flat disc and a 3D skull on top. Eddie stared at her as he took a breath.
"Y'know I..." He began. He thought for a moment then just smiled silently and cupped his hand under Luna's chin. A chiming noise echoed from his jacket, before he leaned over and plucked his phone from the pocket. He quickly read over it and made a dissatisfied expression.
"Turns out my dad has forgotten his keys. I better go." He sighed as he stood up. "Thank you for dinner though, it was just as I remembered." He chuckled as he collected his jacket.
"I'm glad you came over today." Luna smiled as they left her room and headed downstairs. He peered his head into the kitchen and waved. "Thank you for dinner Mr and Mrs Martin!"
"Oh you're off so soon?" Lois turned.
"Yeah, my dad forgot his keys. I best head back." Eddie chuckled.
"Ah it was great to see you again son. Don't be a stranger, and say hi to Ivan for us." Jasper nodded towards him.
"Will do sir! See you."
He and Luna stepped onto the front porched and sighed as he threw his jacket on, his cologne lingering through the air once more. Luna dropped her eyes to her feet as she hid a smile. "Again, thanks for coming over."
"My pleasure. It was good being back, I'd like to think more...is in the near future?" He asked her.
"Definitely!" Luna grinned.
Eddie chuckled as he embraced her in a hug. "I can come over to yours too? I've not seen your dad in a while." Luna told him.
"Yeah, he'd like that." Eddie took a step back and smiled.
"I can head over afterschool tomorrow?" She asked.
"Uh...no." He then told her. Luna's face dropped. "You can just make your way home, I'll come pick you up." He then told her a little hesitant.
"Oh okay, no problem." She nodded.
"Oh! Before I forget. Do you have a pen?" She asked him. Eddie then checked over his pockets before sighing.
"Give me a second..." He jogged to his truck and pulled open his door as he searched around. Luna stood and watched him, her brows furrowed together.
He then headed back to her as he held a sharpie triumphantly the air. "Sorry, what for?" He then chuckled.
Luna took his hand and wrote a number down on his palm.
"My number. Well, my new one." She nodded with a wide smile.
"I'll definitely text you." Eddie told her.
"See you later, Princess." He then winked and headed back to his truck. He got in, started the engine and the loud rock music resumed blaring out of the rolled down window. He then waved before he drove off.00
