Eddie stared around Luna's room in awe as he checked out every detail.
"Um, where has Edward Cullen gone? Those sparkling abs were a delight to see all of the time." Eddie joked as he looked at her walls.
She had redecorated years ago and it was a more mature setting.
"I'm not fourteen anymore, I'm not into twilight that much and you're getting mixed up with Jacob's abs on the posters." Luna laughed as she looked at him.
"Right yeah, the wolf. Whew what a turn on eh?" He screwed up his face as he mocked before he slid his jacket off to reveal a beaten up old band shirt underneath. Eddie liked to take his dad's old shirts too, they were considered vintage and still looked great even if they had a hole or two. It was his style.
The smell of a woody cologne travelled up Luna's nose as he threw his jacket onto her bed.
"Well I'm not going to lie it's kinda freaking me out being here right now." Eddie admitted to her. "What, why?" Luna asked.
"...How long has it been? Four years, it's crazy. I don't mean bad freak out just...weird." He sighed as he glanced around her room. He then spotted her old vinyl player and gasped. "You still have this?!" He whizzed over
It was actually her parents, but she used it so much in their room they finally gave it to her.
"Yes, yes! I am liking these selections." Eddie flipped through her record collection with a smile. "No way, your dad gave you his Queen collection?" He then looked at her surprised.
"Yes, so be careful with it." Luna told him with wide eyes as she slowly sat down on the chair that sat at her vanity table. She watched as Eddie mumbled to himself in delight as he checked out nearly every single one.
After a few minutes he looked at her and narrowed his eyes. "What?" He asked.
"You're right. It is weird." Luna admitted as she took a deep breath.
Eddie nodded as he sat down the records and began to walk over to her. "It's a good weird right?" He then asked as he scratched over his cheek a little.
Luna laughed a little as some air caught in the back of her throat. She choked back the tears that were brewing up as she tried to not make it obvious. She then nodded and whispered.
"I've really missed you." She admitted.Eddie stared at her, looking quite surprised. He then softened his stare before he sighed.
"I've missed you too." His mouth quivered a relived smile as his brown eyes stared into her own. He then opened out his arms and invited her in. "Come here." He told her.Luna quickly got up and hugged him. His arms wrapped around her neck as his chin rested on the top of her head. Suddenly it felt like no time had passed, and they were back to how they used to be.
"So...does this mean..." Eddie began before stopping. "...Can we be friends again?" He asked a little hesitant.
Luna stood with her eyes opened wide. She thought as a thousand thoughts raced through her brain. "I hope so!" She then nodded as she pulled her head up and stared up at him. She watched as he grinned at her before he planted a soft kiss on her forehead. As she slowly closed her eyes the tears that were brewing earlier sat in the corners of her eyes.
The sound of Mrs Martin's voiced echoed upstairs. "Dinner's ready guys!" She called out.
Luna quickly pulled away from him as she turned around and quickly wiped her eyes.
"Time for burgers." She mocked as they laughed. They headed downstairs and entered the dining room that was just off the kitchen."Smells great Mrs Martin." Eddie grinned as he sat back and got comfortable, just like he always used to do.
"It's like time hasn't changed a bit, except the two of you got older, and your hair Eddie."
Jasper told them as he sat down and chuckled. "It is good to see you kids here again though, I was starting to get a little worried." He told them."Kyle!" Lois's voice screamed just before she entered the room with a last bowl of food. She then put on a smile as she put the bowl down on the table and sighed. "Cannot hear a word once they're deep in video games. Well dig in, don't let it get cold!" She told them.
Just then the sound of footsteps quickly ran down the stairs. Luna sat with her head down, yet her eyes slyly were on the door. In walked Kyle, Elliot and Wyatt.
"Come on boys, it'll be getting cold." Lois sighed as Elliot and Wyatt slid into seats with a smile.
Kyle thumped down, his face obviously sour.
"So how is school treating everyone?" Luna's dad asked before stuffing a tomato slice into his mouth.
When no one answered straight away, Luna raised her head and smiled. "It is the same old, dad." She nodded.
"Yeah, great! Going good!" Elliot and Wyatt both agreed.
"How are things going with you Eddie? Are you still drawing? Creating comics yet?" Luna's dad then asked which made Elliot and Wyatt look at each other. They both frowned before looking at Kyle who was slumped down in his chair.
Eddie nodded and smiled. "Here and there. Not as much as I used too but still into it." He admitted.
"Are you still wanting to go to art school?" Luna's mom asked.
"It is a possibility. We shall see." He chuckled a little nervously before cutting into his food. He used to always cut into his food so he could only use a fork where possible. He used to always have a pen and notepad in one hand drawing and he ate with his other.
Everyone started to share conversations across the table over dinner. Elliot and Wyatt actually spoke to Eddie and they shared an interest in comics. Something Eddie was always a nerd for. Everyone got involved in conversation except Kyle. He sat moving food around his plate.
"You okay kiddo? You've been quiet." Jasper then spoke up and everyone turned their attention to Kyle.
"I'm fine." He mumbled and shook his head.
"You sure honey?" Lois asked him with a sincere smile.
"I said I'm fine!" He spoke up and dropped his fork onto his place. "Can I be excused?" He then asked. Before he could get a clear answer he stood up and exited the room before his footsteps could be heard thumping upstairs.
Everyone sat in silence before Lois sighed. "You can leave boys, if you're finished." She directed her attention to Elliot and Wyatt with a smile and nod. They then both smiled in return as they exchanged a thank you before quietly leaving the room as well.
"Well, no change so far then." Lois sighed as she sat back and shook her head. She then stood up and began to gather dishes up.
"Oh let me help!" Eddie quickly stood up.
"It's okay son, you two go. We'll get everything sorted." Jasper patted Eddie's shoulder before he started to help tidy up. Eddie and Luna both left the room as they quietly walked upstairs.
