Trevor's point of view

I gently wake Malia beside me.

"They said we're here." I said.

"Please leave us," Malia said. And within a blink of an eye, every man in black gets off the van, like she has the power of speech. "My son can't see me like this." she said when everyone, except us, is not inside

"Malia, don't think about him just for once. Think about yourself. Yes, he'll be worried but you should---"

"You don't understand." she cuts me off. "I'm fine, Trevor. Thanks a lot. You can leave me here. Kita na lang tayo sa station bukas--"

"What?" I asked in disbelief. "You are not allowed to go to work just for tomorrow."

"Bakit naman? Hindi naman kita boss."

She reached for a bag in front of us. She took a mirror and looked at her face.

"Hindi ba pwedeng dahil sinabi ko?" I asked, hoping that I could be special enough for her to grant a request.

She froze for a moment before she looked at me, wondering if I say something that is not real.

"Things are not that easy, Trevor. Half day akong tulog sa duty ko kahapon at hindi ako pumasok ngayon. This will affect my performance in GKN. I cannot afford to lose without giving my best."

She took wipes and wipe off all the dirt on her face. There are no marks of blood or dirt on it. It's like as if she never had been there.

What did I see back then?

"Tumalikod ka muna." she said while fixing her hair.

"Ha?" I cluelessly asked. Few seconds later when she started to unbutton her shirt.

I quickly turned around as she said. This is awkward. I felt a little heat inside here.

Few minutes passed when she speak again.

"Why did you let them punch you?" Malia asked before I felt her hand touches gently my face, slowly making me look at her.

She treated the wounds on my face with the kit on her lap.

"I'm sorry. This shouldn't have happened to you." I felt so useless for not being able to protect her.

She suddenly kissed my cheek. "Nothing happened and nothing will. I'm okay kaya wag ka na masyado mag-isip dyan." nakangiti niyang sabi. "Tara na?"

Hindi pa ako nakakasagot nang bigla na lang bumukas ang pinto. Lumingon ako at nakita na nakalabas na siya at hinihintay na lumabas din ako.

I followed her and I think that the little rest she had on the way here helped her from moving on.

I learned it late that we are in a front of a huge mansion. I've never been here before. What are we doing here?

We arrived at a dining hall which is pretty big.

"Where is my son? You told me he is here!" Malia angrily demanded on the guy in white.

"I guess I'm wrong. Come on, dinner is ready---"

Malia did not let the guy finish his stands and turned around.

Mr. C?

What the hell is going on?

Things started to form in my head. Conclusions are making their way without any evidence or proof.
