Trust and Faith

I need some help

Raven went to meet her best friend, Donna.

After an eventful morning where she had to calm Damian down and stop him from planning to assassinate the Amazon, Raven was happy to get out. She didn't go out alone a lot. In fact, it was almost surreal being out without Damian.

She did enjoy the fact that her and Damian would allow independent activities without concern. Although, Raven made sure she would not be meeting up with any boys anytime soon, other than the ones they know. Damian may just explode from worry and jealousy.

Upon arrival to the café, Donna was immediately in Raven's face. Donna was definitely a hugger, Raven basically reserved her hugs for Damian. Still, it was nice to see her friend.

"Listen, I got something going on and I kinda need your help." Donna later said. It had all been talk of the team until Donna turned almost sad and worried.

"Of course, you know I'll help you. What's up?" Raven assuringly said.

"You remember Jon?"

"Yeah, Damian's best friend, what about him?" Raven asked curiously. She had a feeling she knew where this was going.

"I think I like him..." Donna confessed. This came as no surprise to Raven and she simply held her eyebrow up with a dull expression on her face before sipping her tea.

"What's with that look?! Can't you see I'm in a crisis here?!" Donna shouted.

"I knew you liked him. Pretty much since he joined the team." Raven said before Donna could ask any questions.

"What?! It was that obvious?!"

"Mhm..." Raven stated whilst still drinking her tea with no expression.

"What am I supposed to do? He doesn't like me... I think." Donna asked worriedly.

"Tell him how you feel, if not that then suffer." Raven bluntly stated.

"That's harsh."

"That's reality."

"How did you and Damian get together then? Maybe it'll help with how I can do this." Donna desperately asked.

"Well..."

Raven remembered. It was only a year ago, yet it felt like yesterday.

It was after they defeated Trigon and Damian had convinced her to return to Earth. Damian suddenly caught her hand as they were both about to return to their homes.

"Don't go... I need to know something..." Was all he said.

His face was down, an obvious blush on his face. A similar one the what Raven had on her face.

"My heart races around you. My body temperature increases. I become nervous. I thought it was a disease, but now I know..." Raven understood what he was going to say at that exact moment.

When he said it, she barely heard it, because she had already thrown her arms around him and embraced him tightly. Damian's face of shock changed into one of happiness.

"I'm in love with you. Please will you be with me?"

"Yes... because... I'm in love with you too."

Raven emerged from her daydream with Donna yelling in her ear. She loved that memory so much. It was precious to her and she hoped that Donna could have a moment like that too.

"So I should just say what I feel?" Donna asked after Raven explained Damian's confession to her.

"Exactly!" Raven told her.

"Ok, just one more question..."

"What?"

"Did Damian really say that?! That's so cute! I'm gonna annoy him so much!" Donna excitedly claimed. The bright smile on her face said she would live up to her words.

After they left Raven returned home. She sat down and began to eat her dinner with Damian. She remembered feeling a bit more clingy with him that day.

Finally they began to get ready for bed and Raven explained the conversation her and Donna had.

"You think Jon will accept her?" Raven asked.

"Absolutely." Damian confidently stated with no change of expression.

"Really?"

"Yes. He's smitten with Donna. He talks about her all the time. That's why I have a coin made of kryptonite with me, so I can flick it at his face." Damian explained.

Raven laughed as she got into bed. Damian follows suit and they instinctively wrapped their arms around each other.

"Your confession was really nice." Raven whispered without thinking.

"Thanks." Damian said with a laugh. Raven buried her flustered face against his chest in order to hide.

"Oh by the way, I need to speak with Grayson tomorrow and unfortunately he's coming here." Damian explained.

"Ok, that's fine. I got some meeting with a nice guy I met earlier anyway." Raven teasingly said.

Damian's face turned red and he clung onto Raven tightly. "I will kill him, whoever he is. He can't have you; you're mine." He angrily said.

"Yeah I'm kidding." Raven said whilst laughing.

Damian nearly looked offended and started to tickle her with a devious smile.

The tickling went to making out and touching each other. The, to neither of their surprises, they had sex... again.

After that they were sound asleep in each other's arms. Raven thought about how lucky she was to be with Damian and thanked whatever forces out there for her life with him.

She also imagined Damian threatening Dick in his sleep again and laughed to herself. This caused Damian to smile. Not that he knew that she was laughing about and he didn't care as long as she was happy.

Although he did want to kill Dick.
