After meeting up with Donna on patrol, Raven informed her of the plan that Damian said would work. Damian was Jon's best friend, so if anyone knew what he liked or didn't like, it would be Damian.
They gathered on a rooftop and discussed different patrol routes, per Damian's instructions. Jon and Donna would go south, Damian and Raven would go north.
"You coming, Donna?" Jon asked, concerned as he began to fly off.
"Yeah, just gotta ask Raven a girl question first. Boys need to cover their ears." Donna said in an attempt to convince him.
Jon nodded and obliged to not use his super hearing.
"Is this really gonna work? I mean does Jon really like anime? And since when do we have an anime store?" Donna asked her friends.
"I knew I shouldn't have wasted my efforts. Why would he not like it? He hangs out with kids who talk about it all the time." Damian said, almost harshly.
Raven patted Damian on the chest, telling him to calm down and that she had it. "Donna, do you trust me?" Raven asked.
"Of course I do."
"And..." Raven began with a smile and a hand on her friend's shoulder. "...I trust Damian. If you want this to work, I'd listen."
Donna took a deep breath and took off with Jon with a wide smile.
"He really likes anime?" Raven asked Damian. She suspected what was going on.
"I have no idea. I don't care about what he goes on about; it's exhausting." Damian stated in a full manner. Even if he was Jon's best friend, he didn't have to do or listen to anything Jon said about.
"That's gonna be rough if he doesn't like it. You think we should keep an eye on them?" Raven asked her boyfriend.
Damian looked elsewhere. He still wanted to find out if the League was behind the attack they saw. It was natural and Raven knew all about it. She knew he wanted to find out about it and learn all he could.
"We don't have to. I know what you wanna do and I'll support you." Raven confidently told him. She wrapped her fingers with his as she held his hand. Damian smiled at her and they shared a quick kiss.
"Thank you, Beloved. I will stick with the current plan tho. The League never attacks too often at once, if that is the League, it should be fine." Damian explained.
"If it's not tho?" Raven asked.
"Either way I'll bring them down."
(Elsewhere)
"Wow! How did you know I like anime?!" Jon asked Donna as he peaked through the window at the anime store.
"Just a hunch I guess. Here." Donna handed him a gift card for five seasons of whatever he wanted for the price of one.
"Thank you."
"God, I feel like buying people stuff before doing this is a bad mood, but here we go." Donna said as she steeled her expression.
Damian and Raven were watching from a nearby rooftop and Raven was showing all her support for Donna. Damian simply stood there, blank expression as usual.
"Before what...?" Jon asked.
Raven tapped Damian on the shoulder and text him a message so Jon wouldn't hear them talking.
"You think this will go well?" She sent.
Damian began typing right after.
"As long as she doesn't scare him, yes. Like I said: he's smitten with her." Damian sent.
The two looked back down and saw that Donna was kissing Jon with full force and Jon seemed to be kissing back. Their jaws dropped at the sight and Damian had to catch Raven as she nearly fainted from shock. 'It wasn't that bad, Beloved.' Damian thought amusingly.
"Wait, you like me?! I like you too!" Jon shouted. An excited face appeared, like a kid who just got a new game console.
"Yes! Let's go out together and do lovey-dovey stuff!" Donna excitedly said as she grabbed him and flew off.
"Thank youuuuu!!!!" Raven and Damian heard as Donna flew up.
The two returned home and got themselves drinks and snacks. They were surprised at how the confession went, seeing how it was so different compared to their one.
The confession they had was slow, serious and genuine. They knew just how much they love each other and how much they meant to one another.
"That was... different." Damian said. Still slightly disbelieved.
"At least it went well, I guess."
Raven's phone then went off, notifying her she had a text from Kori.
"What is it?" Damian asked, noticing the worried looked on Raven's face.
"Bachelorette party, next week, same with bachelor party."
"Fuck."
