The wedding

Raven saw it all. Saw all the decorations of Nightwing and Starfire. Saw the extravagant amount of balloons arches littered throughout the hall at Titans Tower. The amount of flowers was phenomenal, it even gave off the strong scent of roses wherever Raven went. It was full of everything you could ask for in a wedding.

When she saw Dick approach the altar placed in the middle of the training room, all her mind went to was the future. She imagined Damian being the one to walk up there, herself being the one waiting for him. It was surreal to think of, yet it was something she was slowly getting ready for.

Her gaze turned to Kori, wearing her purple wedding dress (different) and smiling giddily at the sight of Dick.

Dick was no different. An all black suit with a blue tie, and a look that screamed excitement.

Then, as she looked over, she saw the man she loved, Damian, from across the hall. He was looking at her with a bright smile. A smile only reserved for her and meant that he was truly happy. Maybe he could see that future with Raven too. Raven reciprocated the smile with all she had, a tear nearly falling from her eye.

After all was said and done, celebrating began. Everyone was getting very drunk and Kori had to explain to everyone why they wore their own colours on a wedding. Kori was pissed that was all anyone was asking about.

Then came the highlight of her evening thus far. The reunion of her and Bruce Wayne. The father of her boyfriend, the Batman, whom she hadn't seen in five months and who left a pretty unknown opinion on Raven.

"Raven." Bruce said as he came up to the table holding the drinks, standing beside her.

"U-uh hello, Mr Wayne." Raven said stiffly. She nearly ended up bowing. She was so confused.

"I here I left you with a fairly unknown opinion of you. You don't know what I think about you." Bruce quietly said. It's as if he was embarrassed to take on the subject.

"Yes, Sir. That's correct, Sir." Raven said. Her right hand nearly going up in salute as she turned to face the tall man.

"At ease, officer." Bruce laughed. Raven want sure he was capable of that.

Bruce turned and met her gaze, looking down on her with an unreadable expression. The pressure was building up. Raven was about to explode from nervousness.

"You are a fine fit for Damian. You have my thanks and my respect. You're a good person." Bruce confessed. His hand gently resting on Raven's shoulder. A small smile visible.

Before Raven could respond and break from her trance, she saw Bruce look behind her and suddenly leave. Raven's eyes were still wide and round, until she broke out of her hypnosis and turned to look eyes with a grinning Damian.

"Care to step outside with me, Beloved?" Damian asked politely. He held his arm out for her and she gladly wrapped her own around his.

As they sat on the beach outside, they began to talk about the wedding and Batman. A nice conversation away from the chaos that was emerging and still unfolding from inside.

"You know he liked me and didn't tell me?!" Raven yelled at Damian. Apparently Damian had known about that all along and just found it funny to carry on like that.

"Sorry. Guess it was lost in my memory." Damian sarcastically said. This earned him a few pokes from Raven and Damian ended up pulling her on top of him as an attempt of retaliation.

Looking into his eyes, Raven wanted to ask him about marriage again. Until...

A league assassin threw a ninja star at Raven that impaled her in the shoulder. She screamed in pain before making a shield around herself and Damian.

Damian scrambled out from under her and quickly checked her wound. Seeing a liquid, Damian recognised it as a tranquilliser and quickly pulled it out, earning another groan from Raven.

"Heal. You need to get the drug out of your system." Damian told her.

Raven obliged and began to glow as Damian jumped out of the shield dome and caught the assassin in mid air. The assassin was quickly brought down and Damian lifted a blade to his face.

"What the hell do you want?" Damian coldly asked.

"A Queen... you must be king and queen. We will not stop until we have you." The assassin said pointing at Raven before blacking out.

Damian's eyebrows furrows in thought before he ran over to Raven and hugged her warmly.

"You ok?" He asked worried.

"Yeah. I'm ok. Thank you." Raven replied with a small smile. Damian held the same smile , but inside he was furious. They want Raven, they'd need to kill him.

I've been hit with a god damn tranquilliser 😂😂😧
