All she could really feel was the cold chain around her arms. The equally cold one at her legs, causing her to shiver. The snowy mountains definitely didn't help.
Raven sat there, in her hard wooden chair, waiting. All she had done for the past three hours was wait. Whoever was running the League was soon to make their appearance.
The great, big, metal door unlocked and in came the culprit behind Raven's kidnapping.
Tall, slim, jet black hair and emerald green eyes. This would be Talia Al Ghul. Damian's mother, assumed dead after a plane crash.
The two woman approached. Each footstep getting louder and louder. A cold stare met Raven's curious one.
As she stopped, she folded her arms and looked down on the girl, Raven feeling no intimidation.
Raven found herself abruptly slapped hard in the face and grabbed by her hair. Though it was painful, Raven maintained her stoic expression.
"So you are the demon bitch that stole my son's heart." Talia spat at Raven.
"What of it? I thought your assassins said they wanted us to lead and provide an heir?" Raven enquired.
This earned Raven another slap, a harder one. Safe to say she wasn't getting along well with her future mother-in-law (though she wasn't engaged yet).
"Shut. Your. Mouth. You have two uses to me and the other one you don't know is the one I'm interested in right now."
Raven remained silent, waiting for whatever it was that Talia wanted her for. She was an idiot if she thought Raven would be of any use to her.
"I know your powers operate based on your emotions. I know of your heritage. I know you have a darker side locked up in that head of yours. So, I'll need that set free." Talia said as she seemed to open a case on a nearby desk.
Inside were a bunch of different tools and weapons. All of them looked like they would be painful.
Raven panicked. She could not let her darker side out and Talia seemed to know exactly how to get it out. Torture.
"I'm not keen on stoicism when I do this. Do scream for me." Talia sinisterly smiled at Raven who was now trying to use her powers to break her chains.
"It's no use. Those chains were enchanted for us to prevent you from escaping." Talia approached. She seemed to have picked her weapon of choice for now. A pair of pliers.
Raven found immense pressure being put on her toes until she felt one break and twist upwards.
What followed was a scream of pain as she felt all of her toes being broken, one by one. Until she felt the same with her fingers.
Talia pulled out a knife afterwards and began to cut along Raven's legs and arms. Raven could t stop the screaming. The knife was deep into her body and it hurt incredibly.
Talia, finally, pulled out a flay, riffled with blades along the ends. Each one hitting her back and causing Raven to begin to cry.
She thought of how she couldn't escape her pain. Couldn't escape the things that used to happen to her, despite her attempts.
Raven wondered if this was all her life was going to be: her suffering, putting up with the pain and trying to restrain her own demons.
She was kidnapped, forced to leave the man she loved and be sentenced to torture by that man's twisted and evil mother.
Then she thought of him, she thought of Damian. She couldn't stop the assassin from threatening him, she had no choice but to leave and she didn't want to.
Raven wanted to be by Damian's side forever and get married. Hell, she wanted to have his kids and she wasn't even allowed without something coming to fuck up their lives.
'Damian. I'm sorry, Damian. Help me!' Raven yelled in her mind.
Just as she did, the ceiling seemed to have exploded and left a small hole, big enough for one person.
Raven looked up and her eyes lit up as she saw Damian jump down and kick Talia in the gut.
"Twenty seven hours of getting here. All that time I wish you'd stayed dead, Mother." Damian drew his sword and cut Raven free and embraced her before she fell to the floor. He aimed his sword at Talia whilst Raven clung to him with tears in her eyes. "HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER!!"
Talia simply looked up and smirked. Awaiting her reunion with her son no more.
HE'S BAAAAACK!! Look...
I'm back. The break is over and you've all been waiting long enough for this. I do apologise for that and hope you enjoyed this one.
I have accomplished what I set out to do when I went on my break so, there is no reason for me to not update.
Anyway, enjoy 👍🏻
