Raven really needed to work on her alcohol tolerance. Not many drinks into her time with her future husband and she was drunk. Really, really drunk.
Damian was used to this and often found it to be something that he could both handle and find funny. Apart from last time, the time where she got hit by a car. He can't let that happen again.
Seeing Damian there with his smile that said he really wanted to laugh at her, Raven decided that she would try and actually make him believe she was not drunk. Of course that thought itself was made from her drunk behaviour and it was never going to work.
"You know, Dami. I t- *burp* think I'm not reeeealy that drunk ya know?" Raven slurred as she downed another glass of her mixture of alcohol.
"Is that so, Beloved?" Damian asked with a smirk.
"Oooo say that again, that was fucking hot!" Raven yelled while dashing towards Damian.
Damian nearly fell out of his chair at her sudden closeness. Raven seemed to do the work for him though and mounted him, pressing him to the floor.
"Pfft hahahaha. You fell off your chair."
"You think?"
"You mad?"
"I would be, but..."
"Buuuuut?"
"But you're on top of me and it's kinda turning me on seeing you from down here." Damian smirked again.
Raven also smirked and playfully stretched her arms up. Her T-shirt being raised enough to make Damian finally notice that she was in her underwear underneath the T-shirt. She definitely had this planned.
Damian lost all control when Raven claimed it was hot and tossed her T-shirt off. He was desperate and she was drunk. This always seemed to make for their most exciting times of sex. Also most expensive due to the amount of stuff they usually break.
Raven woke up and was greeted with the sight of her sleeping fiancé.
That word tucked in Raven's head, fiancé. She could not stop thinking about the fact they were engaged. It created a rush of excitement and happiness that she loved.
The next thing that hit her was a hangover, a massive hangover. She had to go to the bathroom without waking Damian up so she throw up in the toilet.
"Hungover?" She heard as she saw Damian at the door of the bathroom.
Thankfully she had put some pyjamas on, so she would not look so bad hunched over the the toilet and coughing her stomach up.
Very quickly her legs gave out on her and Damian caught her in his arms. He looked worried and she knew why. She never used to get hungover and that was because she had her powers. Now there was nothing to stop her from getting hungover.
"Wow, this is what a hangover, a real hangover, feels like?" Raven whispered.
"Yeah... that's right."
"I feel like shit." Raven moaned and snuggled up in Damian's arms.
Damian just smiled at the sight and held her tight. He was never going to let her go again. He was never going to let Talia get anything or anyone from him ever again.
"You need to stay in bed. I'll get you some breakfast and meds. Don't force yourself to eat, just take it slow." Damian instructed her.
Raven was placed him bed and her breakfast was delivered as fast as the Flash probably makes his. The one thing that she could handle was her tea. She was pretty much forced to watch TV and do nothing.
Damian looked after her all day except for when he went on patrol.
His patrol was very average for what he was used to, but one thing was very different. Damian was a lot stronger than before and felt he could get a lot more airtime during jumps.
Only when he was nearly too late to save a woman from being stabbed did everything make sense. Damian's right eye, his now purple one, glowed and a purple blast fired from his outstretched hand.
Damian was wide eyed, more than shocked. He now knew what was happening.
Damian had Raven's powers.
Damian didn't know what to feel. The only thing he allowed himself to feel was guilt. He didn't want Raven's powers, he wanted her to have them back. But that was always Raven's choice. She said she wanted her life to be normal, did she want her powers back then?
Upon returning home, Damian sat in front of Raven and gave the news straight to her.
"Raven..."
"What is it?" Raven asked, concern flooding her mind.
"I seem to have your powers."
"I know."
"What? You know?!"
"It wasn't a temporary transfer when I gave you that bit of power. Unless this is manually undone then you'll always have them."
"Why would you do that?" Damian asked. He was shocked and concerned. He wasn't angry, not in the slightest, just confused.
"Because I can't always be there to protect you and you always want to protect me too. This way I'm not a burden and you're safe when I'm not there." Raven explained, her eyes watering as she began to cry.
"Raven, I'm not angry. I'm honoured and it makes me feel very loved. But I love having you with me when I fight. Your power makes me think of you, but you're not there. I get it, I really do, but..."
"I-I'm sorry for doing something so... so selfish. I just can't handle the pain anymore and I don't ever want to lose you." Raven cried out.
Damian embraced Raven tightly and just held her as she cried.
"It's ok to be selfish. I want you to be. I don't care if it was selfish. I just want to make sure this is what you want. If not then we'll reverse it. If so then that's ok."
Raven calmed down and kissed Damian warmly. Her kiss sending the message through their bond that told him what she wanted.
"Please, Damian."
"Ok. If that's what you want." Damian smiled at her decision.
Damian would now protect Raven with everything she had given him and make sure their future was secure. After that, he would return Raven's powers.
Raven wanted to stop herself from experiencing anymore pain like what Talia did to her. This way, she could spare herself that pain and she could protect the one she loves most.
