Raven was worried. Damian hadn't been out of the bedroom much. She suspected it was because he was trying to find a lead on the mysterious attack they saw at the crime scene.
Damian definitely threw himself into his work, but this was a bit excessive for him. The League was gone, Damian confirmed it himself. Yet, after all that, he couldn't let go of his past.
Raven knew that if Damian didn't ease up soon he would just dig himself into a hole and not be able to think about anything else. So, she decided that she'd try and take his mind off of things, give him some relief.
As she entered the door, she saw Damian obsessively look at his laptop. He clearly hadn't relaxed much considering the bags under his eyes. He was really fighting sleep as well.
Raven strode in and embraced him from behind, wrapping her arms around his neck and holding on tightly.
She caught Damian by surprise, but he actually seemed to relax into it.
"Overworking... again." Raven whispered.
Damian was slowly losing consciousness. He was really fighting sleep. Not something Raven was going to allow.
"I... need to... finish. Find out what's... going on..." Damian tiredly stated.
Raven found he was very cute when he was sleepy. Seeing him fight it so much showed how determined he was at what he was doing.
"Do you plan on solving this with such a low amount of energy? Honestly, you've worked yourself into a pit on this. Just get some sleep, leave it for a while." Raven encouraged Damian further. To be honest, she usually solved this with sex. Unfortunately, he was way too tired for that.
"But..."
"No buts. Bedtime, Damian Wayne."
"Uhhhh..." Damian dozed off into sleep after that.
Raven smiled and held his face to the side of her cheek. She would be lying if she said she didn't use her powers a little to relax him.
Raven picked Damian up with her powers and placed him into bed. She smiled wider as she tucked him into bed. She wanted to exhaust herself to be honest, that's why she used her powers to lift him. That and he was heavy when he was asleep, as if he gained weight as he slept.
Raven then tucked herself into bed next to him and snuggled up to him. She could hear his slow breathing and just how relaxed he was.
She placed her hands on his face and stroked his cheek. Still smiling, she gave him one more kiss on his forehead before she listened to his breathing once again, allowing it to relax her.
"I love you, Damian." She whispered.
She then closed her eyes and let her head drop near his.
"L-love... Raven..." Raven heard come from Damian before his snoring continue.
Raven blushed at that. Somehow he could manage to give off some form of reply in his sleep and she felt loved more than usual. That was a skill that Damian had mastered.
When morning arrived Damian was still asleep. Clearly it was a bit worse on him than Raven thought. Though, honestly, she could hardly say anything about it. He basically blacked out in her arms.
She rose up from the bed and made her way to the kitchen, deciding to let Damian rest.
She made herself some tea and just read some of her book before her phone started ringing. She cursed the volume of the phone, afraid Damian might wake up. She quickly answered it and prepared to check on Damian.
"Hello?"
"Raven!!!" Raven moved her phone away from her ear from the sheer loudness.
"Donna? Why are you so loud?" Raven asked, slightly frustrated.
"Sorry, I was very excited because we haven't talked for a while. How are you?" Donna asked.
Donna Troy, Wonder girl. She was Raven's closest friend. She lost that title when Damian took it until he became her boyfriend. Only getting it back due to lack of a spot.
At the same time, Donna was always very supportive and helpful to Raven when she joined the Titans. It was hard for Raven to be on a team and she made that all the more easy.
"I'm..." Raven paused as she checked on Damian, peeking through a gap in the door. An apologetic and worried expression on her face.
Thankfully, Damian was still sound asleep.
"Sh-shut up... Grayson... I'll... chop you upppp..." Damian mumbled in his sleep.
Raven had to resist the urge to laugh at that one.
"...fine. I'm fine." Raven finished.
"Good! Can we meet? I got some stuff I wanna talk to you about. Be good to catch up." Donna asked.
"Sure, haven't got anything to do anyway." Raven replied.
"Awesome! How's two o'clock for you? I can meet you at that café near your place?" Donna suggested. She was definitely excited.
"Sounds good, see you then." Raven answered with a small smile.
After Raven ended the call she turned to see Damian standing at the door, barely awake. His expression was one of disapproval.
Raven wore a worried expression on her face. She may have woken the beast.
"When you see Troy... tell her... to SHUT THE HELL UP!! Please." Damian told Raven.
