She found it quiet, Raven found it all too quiet. There had been next to no crime for the past week. Patrols were pretty much pointless, save for the old women nearly getting mugged by a guy who clearly hadn't hurt anyone before. She noticed that Damian just had to jab those guys in the head with no effort and that was it.
Was this good or bad? She couldn't say for sure. Sitting on the couch, earl grey tea in hand with it's pleasant aroma filling her nose, and a book in hand was not something she'd ever complain about. Although something was not up to her liking.
Damian had unfortunately been dragged out by Jason Todd. Apparently a drinking buddy was required tonight and everyone else was busy.
The look of anguish Damian had as he was pulled by the shirt was both funny and pretty sad. Damian had never been one to be social, he pretty much reserved all that for Raven, as well as the few family occasions they had.
Raven jumped as she heard the door to the apartment was slammed open. Sensing it was Damian, she ran up to the door to greet him. Although Damian seemed to be very drunk.
"Fucking door. I'm home! I did it!" Damian yelled out drunkenly. His breath reeking of alcohol.
"Damian, just how much have you drunk tonight?" Raven carefully asked. Damian seemed to get strangely competitive (or more competitive) when drunk.
"I had... one, two, three, um... eleven glasses of whiskey. Think you could beat that, lightweight?" Damian smugly asked, his balance leaving him as Raven caught him in her arms.
"Fuck you, Jason." Raven whispered to herself. The man in her arms clinging as if he was going to die at any moment. Here comes drunk Damian phase two, the emotional phase. The phase that Raven got caught up in and kind of liked.
"Damian?"
"Why can't I last longer in bed? If I last longer will it be better? Will you love me again?" Damian whimpered. He looked up and Raven could see the tears begin to run down his face.
Damian crying was not a sight Raven ever got used to. It was just way too rare. But, Raven never once hated it. It showed his defences were down and he was being vulnerable around her.
Raven pulled him into the bedroom and tucked him in without answering. The distress on Damian's face made her give in. The kid like expression he had was too much for her to bare.
"You last more than long enough you know? I'd say four hours being a record should be enough to tell you that."
Raven moved his hair from his forehead and leaned down to kiss it. As she did, Damian grabbed her hand with his and snuggled up to it like a baby.
"You still love me?" He meekly asked.
"With all my heart and more." Raven assured him.
Damian leaned up to kiss her, but she quickly evaded and stuffed some mouthwash in his mouth.
"Get that alcohol breath away first." Raven said.
After Damian was finally rid of his bad breath, Raven allowed him to kiss her. It was quite intense and needy yet, it was loving.
Raven used her powers during the kiss to hasten the healing of Damian's body, hopefully sobering him up.
She may have overdone it though. Her boyfriend laid there asleep, deeply. His hands still grabbed hers fiercely and Raven had no choice but to give in.
From a nearby rooftop, two assassins watched as Raven moved into bed with Damian. The binoculars they used emitting a faint light. Making use of thermal imaging and X-ray technology.
"You're sure we cannot just take her?" One assassin asked.
"Leave her for now. You will need reinforcements. Await a new opportunity and proceed from there." A commanding feminine voice said.
The assassins left in anticipation and began to set up an outpost for spying near the favourite book store of the couple they were after.
This may be difficult.
