Raven had slept and slept for hours. It was uncanny and had Damian worried. Her powers allow her to heal faster when she is sleeping and recover excessive amounts of energy but this was longer than a normal sleep she used to have.
No matter what Damian did she would sleep.
Damian had made sure to keep tabs on Talia and any League activities in the meantime. There had been no further movements from them in the past two days.
He assumed this was because Talia lost her new secret weapon. He'd be dammed if he let her take Raven again.
After Damian finished his weights in the gym and grabbed a shower, he noticed Kori and Dick approaching the apartment from outside. Damian made sure the apartment was in order before he opened the door and saw Dick's hand about to knock at it.
"Oh... hey. Did you see us?" Dick asked.
"No... I've been hanging around with Jon recently and his X-ray vision is contagious." Damian sarcastically replied.
Kori actually snickered at that to the boys' dismay. Considering Kori had a terrible sense of humour, it made sense why she'd laugh.
Damian invited the couple in and brought out some coffee for the two of them. The smell filling the space that is usually occupied by earl grey tea.
He noticed Kori looking around a bit, clearly looking for Raven.
"She's asleep." Damian told her.
"Oh, ok. Will she be up soon?" Kori asked as her smile shrank.
"I don't know. She's been asleep for a long time, longer than usual." Damian explained.
"That might be for the best." Dick entered.
"Excuse me, Grayson?"
"Look, don't be mad. I'm just saying, she went on a rampage and hurt a lot of people. Maybe it's best if she doesn't show herself to people for a while, at least as a hero." Dick explained to Damian.
Damian wore a scowl at the start, but eventually saw the logic in what Dick was saying. Still, he didn't want Raven to be any sadder than she probably already was.
"She wasn't herself. She was tortured into that form for nearly a whole day without stopping. Though I can see your point, I must insist this decision be left up to her." Damian asserted.
"That's fine." Kori said.
After a while, Dick and Kori left, for once on a good note.
Damian checked on Raven and found her sitting up and looking out of the window with a sad expression on her face.
Damian felt bad, he felt guilty and he didn't like it. He needed to make her happy and get her to make a decision, but that could wait.
Raven then noticed Damian through the reflection of the window and smiled at him. The smile enlarged as he came rushing over and embraced her tightly while Raven's arms moved around her boyfriend's frame.
"Are you alright?" Damian asked.
Raven opened her eyes and moved to look straight at him before nodding. Her face was still sad despite the smile that she had on. Damian knew she was forcing it.
"Tell me what's wrong."
"Nothing." Raven lied.
"Raven... please tell me." Damian told her with serious face that told Raven he would help her with whatever it was.
"I think I've lost my powers."
Sorry it's short but I just have not had a ton of time and I'm very tired right now.
I will try to update earlier tomorrow.
