Raven had exhausted her energy and after the warm embrace she shared with Damian, she collapsed in his arms. She fell unconscious and it was very clear to Damian that she would not wake up for a while.

People began to return to the streets after the fight. All of them were worryingly looking at Raven. Clearly, they were cautious after what had happened. Damian couldn't even blame them, that thing was not Raven, it was her demons.

"That's her! Kill her!"

"What are you doing holding her?! Someone grab her and kill her!"

"My home is destroyed because of her!"

"Where am I supposed to live now?!"

Damian could hear each and everyone of them and he was going to lose it.

'No. Not after everything she's just been through. Not after she's just suffered the way she has. No dammit!' Damian thought.

Damian stood atop a nearby car with Raven in his arms. He looked like he could knock them all out with his gaze alone, but he kept his cool and prepared to address the upset crowd.

"Listen! I understand why you're upset. I get it. But now isn't the time for that." He said before looking down at Raven. She looked sound asleep and Damian couldn't help but smile.

"She has done nothing wrong. She was under the influence of something that was not her. She resisted and resisted and she'd been literally tortured for nearly twenty four hours with no rest. All of this to protect people. She was only stopped because she gave me the tools to stop her, because she didn't want anyone to suffer. Can't you look past what was here and look at what IS here now?" Damian confidently spoke.

Damian was not a people person, but for Raven he would be whatever she needed him to be. It was honestly a role that he would gladly take for her, speaking to a crowd of people and telling them that Raven is not to blame.

The people seemed to silence themselves and looked at Raven. The way she was hiding herself within that cloak made it hard, but it wasn't impossible, and they could all see the scars that she was still trying to heal away.

Eventually, they turned away. They sided with Damian and left Raven alone.

After seeing to the other Titans who were in the area (and in need of medical attention) Damian took Raven home and tended to her wounds from where she had been tortured.

She had healed when turning into Dark Raven, but that power was not healing them as well anymore and they returned with Raven's natural healing being the only thing that made them scars.

Damian placed Raven in bed and looked down at her. He had let her go into danger all alone and he couldn't bare to let that happen again.

He silently promised he would dedicate everything to protecting Raven and not let anything happen to her again.

"Thank you." Damian heard Raven whisper, pulling him from his thoughts as he knelt down next to her.

"What for?" Damian asked.

"For saving me, helping me... just being with me. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you." Raven answered sincerely with a matching smile.

"I didn't do enough tho. You should never have had to go through that torture. You just... should've been fine." Damian told her sadly.

Damian closed his eyes before feeling Raven's hand gently come onto his cheek. He felt it bring gently stroked and leaned into the touch.

"I'm sorry, Dami. I should've stayed here and resisted, but I worried about you and I didn't know what else to do." Raven explained.

Damian stripped his uniform off and got into bed with Raven. He embraced her tightly as Raven moved closer to him and rested her body against his.

They looked each other in the eyes for a long time before they slowly and lovingly kissed.

"Everything's back to normal now. This time, though, we'll protect each other more that before." Damian whispered.

"I love you." Raven said after she nodded in agreement.

Now for the question Raven was afraid to ask.

"Dami?"

"Mhm?"

"What will you do about your mother. We need to bring her do-"

"If my mother shows her face again... I'll kill her..."

Raven wanted to look into his decision for that further, but wanted to enjoy the moment with Damian, so said nothing.

Whatever the case, Talia Al Ghul was very dangerous.
