Chapter 26 'Can I kiss her already?'

Aaron Demarcus Cortez.

"Bro, Open up, lets talk it out." Dan banged the washroom door continuously but it stayed firmly locked. I leaned against the wall to regain consciousness which was lacking due to excess of liquor consumption.

"It freaking annoys me when she ignores me. It hurts me more. Why did Kim even have to come back?" I yelled as soon as I opened the door letting them in. "And that bloody fucking Xavier. They share those goofy fucking smiles in class. Do they think I don't fucking notice? Ugh. I was waiting for her in art class and when she finally comes, she looks at him first and then smiles at him! What the fuck is that about?"

"It's just a smile, I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean anything." Jade added trying to calm me down.

"She didn't bother saying hi for Pete's sake! I befriended her first!" Dan interrupted me immediately,

"Um, Correction, I think it was me who first spoke to her, therefore my friend before you. And also, so what if she likes him?" He questioned me, making me turn towards him with daggers in my eyes. He quickly shook his head in hope that I wouldn't do anything to him, and motioned me to continue. I rolled my eyes at him and took a deep breath before continuing my rant,

"In case, you thought I let you continue because I was scared you'd do anything, nope, I just didn't want to see you cry," Dan added quickly, almost sounding like those girls he's always with.

"For christ's sake, Dan!" Jade groaned from the side. "You ar-"

"I don't want him thinking he got the upper hand cause I'm betting twenty he did."

"Did you?" Jade asked me. At the lack of my reply and with my face turning red slightly, Jade groaned again while Dan started snickering.

"Can I continue or do you two need more time?"

"Alrighty, who spiked salt into this guy's beer?" Dan shouted as he looked around at people only he could see in the washroom.

"I don't know, mate, you handed him the beer so-"

"It was a fucking joke, Jade-"

"Ohhh."

"I swear I don't know how you passed,"

"Don't go there, Wiener."

"Oh, I just went there, Jaiden Hal."

"Okay, you two clearly aren't done yet. Do I come back later or-"

"Shut up, Nerdy RON!" Both of them yelled at me at the same time. Before I could reply, Charles rushed in with an annoyed look on his face. And I was so glad he was here, he stopped those two kids from fighting.

"I am going to hit Xavier. I can't make a move on the girl if he is fucking breathing down her neck." He snapped.

"Which girl?" Jade asked him.

"Clarke."

I take it back. Why is he still here again?

"Did you say Clarke?" Jade asked him again in mockery as he held his ear, pretending he couldn't hear Charles clearly. I faintly heard Dan laughing but I could only concentrate on controlling myself from not hitting Charles. Dan's laughter collaborated with Jade's as I continued glaring at Charles.

"Don't tell me, Cortez here has a thing for her too. Are you serious." He groaned and quickly stopped in between as he looked at me with wide eyes. We knew what was next.

We knew what had to be done.

"Dibs." He was a second late and groaned out again as I walked out of the washroom with a victory smile on my face. I bet twenty the whole party could hear Jade's and Dan's laughter.
