Aaron Cortez.

"I would like to know the reason behind your long absenteeism since Wednesday. You do realise you aren't allowed to cut school without a reason. Especially you Miss Clarke, you joined school late, and there is a lot of catching up to do-"

"He knows, Penelope." Clarke interrupted Miss Penelope's fake lecture halfway and let out a tired sigh. Miss Penelope looked alarmed at the sudden new piece of information as she avoided my eyes with an embarrassingly guilty expression on her face. I really wasn't surprised that Miss Penelope was behind the whole strategy too. I was out the emotion of surprise that I honestly couldn't be surprised anymore.

"Apologies Mr. Cortez. I had to follow the rules," She apologised quickly mistaking my bored look to a glare, "Well since both of you are here, I need to talk to you about something serious. Mr. Aaron Cortez, what are the three 'No's of this school?" Now I was the one who was scared.

"Uhh, No Bunking, No Violence, and No PDA."

"Then why have you two broken all of them in the past few weeks? Aaron, I heard you punched Xavier in the class! The least you could do is go outside school!"

"Hey! Clarke punched Will in a school compound!" Clarke shot me a sharp glare while I pretended I couldn't see her.

"That was after school and I was doing my job, which is protecting your stupid as-"

"Language!" Both of us immediately shut up at Miss Penelope's outburst. "What about bunking? Both of you were found bunking near the oak tree. Bunking is clearly prohibited."

"Well, we umm, we wanted um-"

"What's the third 'No' again, Aaron?" Miss Penelope ignored Clarke and cut her stuttering reply off completely.

"No PDA." I mumbled under my breath as my cheeks burned slightly red, knowing exactly what she was talking about.

"A little louder so both of you can hear it, Aaron." Miss Penelope's glare was no match to the iciness in her voice.

Monday rolled by very soon, and I probably felt it move faster for me than anyone else because I couldn't even complete half of my notes by Monday morning even with an all nighter. Clarke and I spoke to each other only if it was really necessary. I figured the line 'No mixing business with pleasure' had really pissed her off. It seemed like all her subtle actions were done to get me to regret my words.

And I was regretting it so much.

Clarke, following her orders, did only her job impeccably. Spoke to me only when needed, and didn't even crack a joke. She was pretty much a robot around me. And suddenly I wanted her to break all the rules. I wanted the old Clarke back. I wanted her to smile at me again. I missed having her being real, that is if she was real in the beginning, around me. I missed her giving me that 'Oh, you're so stupid, Aaron' smile and I missed kissing her smile. I want that side of Clarke which I fell for. If that was the real her, then I want her to be real to me.

I missed her.

I was slightly jealous of how much time Kristen and Elsa spent with her. I even heard Jade complain about it. Those three always seems to hang out during school and after school. Clarke was always smiling and laughing with them, but she quickly drops her attitude whenever she is near me. I couldn't complain much because I was the one who had brought it upon me but I was glad I could still hear her laugh sometimes in the cafeteria or during football.
