I've changed the name of Ethan and Charlie, the backup cops from chapter 41, to Carter and Ralph respectively to avoid confusion.

"Bad news, we lost Ethan from our radar today." Hedge whispered in my ear while he took the seat to my left.

"How?" I whispered back failing to keep a blank face.

"No idea. I don't know how he managed to find a loophole in my system."

"Only the one in London?"

"Nope. Paris, Sweden and London." Before I could reply, another loud voice grabbed my attention.

"After keeping our boy, Smiley, under a long surveillance, we have figured out few things," Drew started off the meeting by taking the matter into his hands, "One, he does not have a routine. He wakes up and never does what he did the previous day. It's hard to take him by surprise when he treats his life like one. Two, the house he is currently living in is under the name, Mark Stone, which also allowed us to know what he's doing tonight."

"The private party at Marriot tonight?" Ralph asked in confirmation. Ralph and Maze were specifically requested since they had more experience and knowledge than the rest. They had dealt with Gale earlier and now they've been secretly watching over Liam Kite.

"Yep. Which brings us to our third point, his security is higher than him, all the fucking time. So let's get real, there is no way we can enter that party as us and leave it alive."

"This guy is literally living his life in the spotlight but still manages to stay hidden like he's in the shadows." Aaron remarked from my left side.

Oh, what was he doing in our meeting? Well, motherfucker invited himself to the party too despite my disapproval.

"What do you suggest?" Maze asked Drew, who seemed to have a plan.

"There is no way we can enter the private party, okay, but the club is hosting another the EDM party, right above his party in the next floor. Now there is a common kitchen, which is our only plus factor. And that's where Aaron will come in."

"Sure, I know the sous chef, so I can get three of us in, one of us will have to slip past everyone's notice."

"Yes, that will be Clarke. You know what you have to do."

"Disguise myself as a waitress, fix the camera in my dress, and find him." I replied going over the plan for one last time.

"Once we get a clear view on him, we don't lose it. We keep an eye until he leaves the place. I need two cars on either exits, front and back. And two more people in the lobby if he plans to go back into his room. I don't know what will go down tonight, but we better be ready."

This was our final meeting before we executed the plan tonight. I ignored Aaron and his attempts to talk to me the entire time. I was just really angry at his decision to risk his life but I also felt like I didn't have much of a say, I had to respect his own decision at the end. I got into my car and turned the ignition on so I could leave immediately to get lunch with Elsa and Kristen when all of a sudden Aaron knocked on my window and pointed at my right wheel.

"Clarke, I think your tire is flat." I could make out his words with the movement of his lips and the slight audible hum of his voice. I frowned at the idea of having to leave the car again; the cold and the situation of having to face Aaron.
