I cursed under my breath at my unfortunate luck. Jason looked down to where I was crouched and gave me a small secretive smile. Mr Williams walked up to Aaron, preventing him from coming any further into the room. Then he took him outside, spoke to him for awhile and then came back inside all alone.

"Coast clear." Jason added.

I got up slowly and let out my breath which I didn't realise I was still holding,

"Man, your son literally gave me a heart attack." I spoke out loud to Mr Williams. I heard few people chuckle at my joke and to my surprise, even Mr Williams had a small smile on his face.

And to my surprise, I found my brother when I went back home. Normally, at this time he'd be in the camp, and curiosity kicked in when I entered the kitchen and found him on the counter eating bread and Nutella.

"Hey." I greeted him suspiciously.

"Hi." He replied without speaking more. Mike actually speaks a lot more than he claims he does.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him confused. As rude as it sounded, it was completely unintentional.

"What do you mean? It's my fucking house too."

Oh, great. It's his time of the month.

"Oh shut it, Mike. I was just asking a question." I rolled my eyes, already done with his attitude. Mike's mood swings are really bad, and like I mentioned earlier, we've just been arguing for the past few days.

"Well you shut it if you don't how to ask a question without sounding like a bitch."

"I swear the house is more peaceful when you aren't around." And lonely but I didn't want to tell him that. I was burning with anger at how he was acting.

"You don't want me here? Fine. I'll leave." He got up and was about to leave until I pulled him back.

"Why are you acting like a fucking jerk?" I snapped at him.

"Can't I be home now without being questioned?"

"It was just a question for pete's sake!" I replied exasperatedly.

"I'm so done." He seethed as closed his eyes and that's when I actually saw him. He was breathing hard with his fists clenched. He looked worn out, like he could use a bed. He looked like he had given up. He looked like he was almost dead.

Then the reality hit me hard. My brother was suffering and I didn't even know who he was anymore. I can be the most selfish person ever. Yes, he might have been pushing me away but I'm his sister, he is my only family before my uncle and yet, I don't know anything concerning his life. I should have tried harder to be a part of his life.

"Are you okay?" I asked slowly, my voice soaked in concern.

"Peachy." He replied and left. His reply fuelled my anger more than before. While I was actually being concerned, he was the one acting like a bitch.

"Stop pushing me out!" I snapped as I followed him to his room.

"I'm fine."

"Like hell you are!" I shouted and grabbed his collar since he was avoiding looking at me, "Look at me, Mike, you were there when I needed you and so let me repay you!" I tried reasoning it with him.
