I parked my bike near another Royal Enfield which was parked near the ice cream shop. I quickly hurried over to the shop scared that I was too late. My mind drew blank as I let my surroundings sink in. The glass door and wall was completely shattered, there was blood and bodies everywhere on the ground, the whole street was dark with the exception of the ice cream shop's light resources and one flickering lamp post. I drew in a shaky breath as I walked over to find more men in black fighting. I was already grumpy when Kim called me for I was expecting someone else's call instead. I was worried for Clarke and her family emergency. But when Kim called instead asking me to help her, I rushed out immediately. Finding all these violent men fighting only made me regret not asking Dad for some help from his private agent friends. My eyes travelled from all the bodies on the floor to this one who was standing in front of me with a grey shirt and familiar dark blue Sneakers. I immediately froze, wondering if my mind was playing tricks or if she actually stood there in front of me, looking physically exhausted like she had fought with most of them.
I was in shock at the current enigma that stood in front of me as she stole my breath and heart.
I was in shock at the merciless fighter who fought like it was a dance she knew by heart.
I was in shock as she harshly wiped the blood on her lips and held the guy surrendered by his neck.
I was in shock as her dark eyes met mine with emotions I knew her lips could never explain.
She was sorry.
Wait, who was she even?
She was completely distracted by my sudden appearance and I could almost see her brain working super fast to figure out how to handle the situation.
"Aaron..." She muttered and I knew then she was as speechless as I was.
Where do even start right now?
She violently jolted forward as a guy took her distraction as an advantage and punched her hard across her face. She stumbled back a bit in surprise and then regained her composure as she glared at him.
"Why the fuck do you all punch me only when I'm looking away? Fuck you!" She snapped and then let out a short groan, "On the same side moreover!" I don't know if it was her words or the way she was cradling her injured jaw, or maybe the fact that someone just punched my girl, but something snapped inside me and I prayed to God he'd show mercy on this guy who thought he could.
Nobody hurts my girl.
I grabbed his collar furiously in a fraction of a second and punched him straight in the face knocking him out immediately. I heard the satisfying thud as his body fell limp on the ground. I realised that punch had stopped the rest of the three approaching guys to freeze in their spot with fear blazing distinctly in their eye.
"Who's next?" My voice was icy and steely just like the look in my eyes as I glared at the remaining idiots who were going to die soon.
"You just wait-" It took Clarke and me, both, exactly 56 seconds to eliminate the rest.
"Aaron, what are you doing here?- oh wait, Kim called you." Both of our eyes widened slightly as we realised we completely forgot about Kim. She diverted her eyes away from me and pointed at the 'staff only' door. Somehow at the mention of Kim's name, the room had turned a little more colder than before. I knew Clarke found the whole situation with Kim still awkward, but I could only pray Kim bunked school everyday like she did today.
